In this life you can disagree with someone and still love them. I don’t agree with everything my kids do, yet I still love them inspite of their fooliness and folly. God doesn’t agree with our behavior, yet he sent his son to die for us. God still loves us inspite of our sins. In fact, the bible says; Isaiah 64:6But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;and we all do fade as a leaf;and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. So don’t stop loving people because you can’t agree with them. Some people you may have to love from a distance and that’s ok.

When it’s time to let go of what God tells us to let go of; we don’t need to be like Lot’s wife and turn back to see. God could kill us for turning back just as he did Lot’s wife. God knows what he’s doing when he say; get up and leave and don’t look back. He knows what he’s saying; when he say leave this job and start your own business.  He knows what he’s saying; when he say give everything in your purse and pockets. When it’s time to leave will we obey or will we try to hold on. The bibles says; obedience is better than sacrifice.

Just because things are not going your way, that doesn’t give you a right to shut down your praise. Life is not going to always go as we planned it, and our praise should not be conditional. Lord I’ll praise you if everything is right in my life. Lord if I have money in the bank I’ll praise you. This should not be. We should praise God anyhow. Lord if everything is jacked up in my life I’ll praise you. If circumstances look crazy, Lord I’ll praise you. God loves us unconditionally, therefore; we should praise him unconditionally.

Many of us have the testimony that we almost let go, but God. We were at our wits end and couldn’t take another failure, another setback, another piece of bad news or another disappointment. We were so down in despair that we thought serving God wasn’t worth it, but the devil messed around and missed his opportunity to seize the moment. So, we began to look back over our lives and think things over. We began to say thank you Lord. The more we said; thank you, the more strength we started to have. Afterwhile, we began to believe we could make it and started saying; I’m more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ. When we look at ourselves today, we see that God didn’t make quitters, he made us built to last. Our darkest hour was just to show us what God placed inside of us and ultimately, it was to show us the power of God. So,yea we almost let go, but thank God for the string we held on to as tight as we did.

Who doesn’t love a sale? We love when prices are marked down then we get an additional percentage off. This year we cannot afford to put our character on discount. People are going to want us to lower our standards, and after we lower our standards they are going to want us to further discount ourself. That’s not happening this year. This year we know our worth. We know the value that God has placed in us. We know the sacrifice that was made for us, therefore; we will not lower ourselves to appease anyone. If someone cannot appreciate our worth and value then they’ve come to the wrong place, and they need to go where people don’t value themselves. Discount days are over!

Everybody has an opinion on what you should do about your situation. None of them have consulted God on your behalf, but they want you to take their advice. Instead of listening to them, seek God for yourself. Stop telling people with no power or authority to change your situation about your problems. Take all your problems to the Lord in prayer. Oh what needless peace we often forfeit all because we don’t take our problems to the Lord in prayer. Everybody has an opinion, but only God has the answer, the power and the authority to fix it.

This year let’s not complain, let’s accept what God allows. If he allowed it, then there’s a purpose behind it. Life isn’t always going to go the way you planned it, that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. It just means you have to seek God and ask him was your plans in his will. We may not like what God allows but if we accept it, we will be a whole lot better.

A million didn’t make it, but you were one of the ones who did. Now is a good time to get with #teamJesus. God didn’t have to do it, but he did. He didn’t let you see a new year just for kicks and giggles, he has a plan and a purpose for you. Don’t waste anymore time concerning yourself with the things of this world, concern yourself with the things of God.
