Back in the days when you went into a restaurant they would always ask; smoking or non-smoking seating. Well God has been asking us this questions for years. Do we want the smoking or non-smoking living area after this life is over. The choice is ours. We need to choose wisely because once we’re dead we cannot change the section we chose. If you don’t like sitting in the smoking section here on earth, you’re really not going to like it when you die.  Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Stop acting like God owes you something. He sent his only son to die for our sins. Every breath we take, that’s God doing something for us. When we can move our limbs freely, that’s God doing something for us. When we can sit and be in our right minds, that’s a God doing something for us. Since Jesus died for our sins, we have absolutely no excuse to be walking around in defeat. We need to tell ourselves daily; the blood will never lose its power. The blood still works. Since Jesus paid it all, no devil in hell should be able to stop us. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

For the remainder of this year praise God daily, for he inhabits the praises of his people. Praise your way out of this year and praise your way into the new year. That’s how you finish strong and begin fresh. Praise is a powerful weapon against the enemy, against adversity and against any opposition. Don’t wait until you get to church to praise God. Make your car your church, your bathroom your church, your living room your church. Whatever you do, make sure you praise God.

Are you living or existing? When you’re just merely existing life is passing you by, you are in the same mundane routine, your life is just a blur. However; when you are living, you are not waiting for things to happen, you are making things happen. God wants you to have an abundant life. He wants you to live life to the fullest while you’re here on earth. Either you’re going to take advantage of what God has created for you, or you will let life pass you by and you just die. The choice is yours.

I keep hearing everyone say 2016 is going to be the best year of their life or better than 2015. Why not make up your mind that the rest of 2015 is going to be great. God doesn’t need a new year to change things in your life, he can do it today. You just need a new mindset. Starting today, things are looking better. Starting today things are going to workout for your good. Starting today, things are moving in the right direction. Stop waiting until 2016 and start watching things change right here and right now in 2015.

Lord we need your mercy. For it is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed. Lord it’s been by your grace and mercy that we are still here so we thank you.

Many of us have heard the saying; if you don’t have a plan then you plan to fail. However, when we make our plans do we ever consult God? Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. God’s plan for our life is much better than what we have planned. His plans works out for our good. So, before we go making all these plans we need to ask God, does our plans line up with the plans he has for us. If you’ve been wondering why things haven’t been working out, maybe you have the wrong plan.

We all say God is our everything, but our actions say; he is nothing to us. We all say for God I live and for God I die, but our actions show; for self we live and we crucify Jesus afresh on the cross daily. We all say we want spiritual blessings, but we get angry with God when he withholds material blessings. We all say we love God, but we are so quick to hate our brothers and sisters who look, act, and think different than we do. Today we really need to take a self-inventory of ourselves and really determine how much is Jesus worth to us. Then we need to repent and start acting accordingly. Just remember if you deny Jesus he will deny you before the father.

Are you still racking your brains and pacing the floor all night long, trying to figure out how you’re going to get out of your situation? Have you called on God as a last result or as the first and only solution? Turn your problems over to the Lord. He knows the end before the beginning. Stop stressing out and stop worrying. By worrying you can’t change the situation, but by praising you can get God’s attention.
