The Blessings Of The Lord

The blessings of the Lord are not always material blessings, sometimes they are spiritual blessings. Anyway God chooses to bless us we should be satisfied. Now that we are approaching the Christmas season many people will feel like they are not blessed if they are not able to buy presents or receive presents. However, it’s not about the material things, it’s about Jesus. If you’re still alive, you’re blessed. If you have the activity of your limbs you’re blessed. If you have food to eat and a roof over your head, you’re blessed. Stop putting a dollar amount on your blessings. If it had not been for the Lord on your side where would you be?

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

The Perfect Gift

During Black Friday everyone was out looking for the perfect gift. Everyone was spending money they had and money they didn’t have just to impress other people. The sad part is some of those people they are trying to impress don’t even love them let alone like them. Throughout the whole day, people were only trying to find the deals, but they were not trying to find Jesus. The perfect gift can be found in John 3:16; for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believed in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. You don’t need any money to find Jesus, you just need to believe. Just like you go to the store early to get the best deal and the best sale. If you seek Jesus early he can be found. Just remember there are no deals on judgement day. When you die, God will either say; well done thy good and faithful servant; or depart from me you worker of iniquity. While the blood is running warm in your veins it’s never too late to get the perfect gift.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Thanksgiving

As we eat ourselves into oblivion on this day, let’s not forget to thank God. Everything may not be as well as we would like them to be, but thank God they are not worse than they are. Know that God is a very present help in the time of trouble.  He deserves all the glory and all the praise due his name. Jesus continues to watch over us and keeps us, that’s enough to say Lord I thank you.
Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

We All Have A Past

People can be so hypocritical by judging other people’s past, but forgetting their past is not squeaky clean. Our past helped to shape where we are now and who we are now. Our past is what gives us our testimony. Don’t be ashamed of your past no matter what you’ve done. Learn from it and grow from it. The very thing people want to judge is the very thing that God will use to make you mighty in the kingdom of God.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

There’s No Place Like Home

Tomorrow I will descend on my hometown and I’m excited. It’s always good to be able to go home and visit family and friends. Some people left home under not so good circumstances and they feel as though they can never return. However; just like the prodigal son you can go back. Your family may receive you or they may not receive you but you at least have to attempt to make amends. Before you attempt to make amends, pray and ask God to soften your heart as well as your family member hearts. Sometimes family can be the hardest people to deal with, but at the end of the day that’s all we have. Good, bad, ugly or indifferent family is family. If you can’t get back home then call home. With all this technology it’s not impossible to reach out and be at home in some way, shape, form or fashion.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Apologize

Stop apologizing for the favor that God has on your life. You cannot control what God does. If someone has a problem with what God does for you, tell them to take it up with him not you. Don’t apologize for the blessings he’s bestowed upon you. The bible says; God has no respect of person. Therefore; if he blessed you, someone else is going to be blessed. Stop thinking you don’t deserve to be where you are. God knew what he was doing when he placed you in that position. Just don’t get the big head and think you’re a self-made man or woman. What God has for me is just for me and I won’t apologize about that.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

When God Is An Inconvience

Do you feel that God is an Inconvience? Somehow he’s not when you need him, but once you’ve gotten what you’ve asked him for you leave him alone until the next time you need him. God shouldn’t be an Inconvience, sin should. It’s up to you to prioritize where God is in your life.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Is Your Life Pleasing To God

I’ve been to a lot of funerals and some of them were for gang bangers. While sitting in the funeral people began to say such lovely and wonderful things about the dead. They began to paint the picture that the person had never done anything wrong. I began to wonder who were they talking about. I remembered a hell raiser, a vile person, a person that like to inflict pain on others and now they’re dead and everyone has amnesia. It really doesn’t matter what other people say about you or what they think about you. The only thing that matters is; how does God view your life. Is your life pleasing to God? Are you walking in your purpose? Can God trust you to be his mouth piece? Do you give God lip service or heart service? What is really between the dash of your birth and death? Do you really believe that God is going to tell you well done thy good and faithful servant or do you believe he’s going to say; depart from me you worker of iniquity for I never knew you? If you believe he’s going to say well done, then keep doing what you do. If you believe he’s going to say; depart from me, while the blood is running warm in your body get saved, repent and live for Jesus.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Pray About Everything

Before Jesus did a miracle or preached to the people he prayed. He prayed before he raised Lazarus from the dead. He prayed before he fed five thousand with two fish and five loaves. He even prayed while he was on the cross. If Jesus had to pray what makes us think we don’t have to pray. Jesus showed us there’s power in prayer and great things happen after having a talk with the father.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

I Pray We All Be Ready

Back in the days the Chicago Mass Choir used to sing I pray we all be ready when Jesus comes. Everyday we wake up, do we ask God is our souls required of him today? Or, do we just go about the day assuming that we are going to escape the day alive? God has given us plenty of opportunity to repent and accept Jesus as our personal Savior. While the blood is running warm in your veins and you have a chance to confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead  dead, do it. There’s no reason for you to die and go to hell when you can have eternal life. There’s no reason for you to live in condemnation when God is standing at the door and knocking; willing and ready to forgive you of your sins. I pray we all be ready.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
