When you think about your relationship with the Lord, what made you believe in him? Once you figure that out, ask yourself what made you doubt him? Did you start doubting him the first time he didn’t answer your prayers the way you wanted him? Perhaps, you started doubting him when he allowed you to go through something you thought you couldn’t bear. At any rate, your faith diminished the moment you started doubting the Lord, and it hasn’t fully recovered. Today is the day to have a little talk with Jesus and build your faith back up. 

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. 

Today my youngest daughter, my grandson, and I were sitting at the table and they both began to talk about where they’re going. School just started and my daughter is in the 5th grade but she already see’s herself in the 6th grade and was talking about everything she’s going to do when she gets there. My grandson is only four and he began to talk about when he goes to kindergarten, then the 1st grade and where he’s going to be and what he’s going to be doing. I was just sitting there listening and saying to myself; wow! If only us adults could see farther than where we are right now. If only we could have child like faith, where would we be in our walk with God? If only we could see ourself being successful, see ourself making it out of hell holes, see ourself doing better than what we are doing right now, where would we be in our walk with God? The bible says; and a child shall lead them. Just sitting at the table listening to them, I got to get busy seeing myself as a best selling author. I got see myself getting my next promotion. I got to see myself owning my own company, and not just see it, but make it happen. What are you seeing yourself doing or being?

What you’ve been doing hasn’t been working. It’s time to try something new. It’s time to do something you’ve never done before. It’s time for you to stop living in fear and just go for it. In other words, it’s time for you to walk by faith, step out on faith, and live by faith. A lot of people don’t like change, but if you want a different outcome in your life, change is a must.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. 

How many of us have taken this day for granted? Today might look like yesterday, but it’s a whole different day. When you woke up this morning, did you take for granted that you would be alive today? When you took a step today, did you take for granted you would be able to walk. We take so much for granted, little things and big things. It’s time out for that. It’s time to be about our father’s business. It’s time to thank God for everything, and stop complaining. The mere fact that we are alive today, is God’s way of telling us, that he’s giving us another chance to get it right with him. Stop taking life for granted and stop taking God for granted.

Many of us look at other peoples talents and gifts and wish we had them. We start to forget about our own talents and gifts. Your talents and gifts are just as important as the person you’re looking at. Use what God has given you. God gave everyone a talent and gifts; it’s just that some people choose to capitalize on them and others choose to sit on them. Are you using what God gave you or are you sitting on what God gave you? Many of us could have multiple streams of income if we used what God gave us, but somewhere along the line; we believed we were not good enough so we settled for a job and now we’re looking at someone who chose to use what God gave them.

At 4yrs old my grandson has a lot of pride. I was in his room putting clothes away and he said; I can do it, you can leave. I said; if you could do it, I wouldn’t see this big mess. So, he started trying to fold up the clothes and it wasn’t working for him. He finally broke down and said; can you please help me, and let’s call it team work. He didn’t say I can’t do it, because his pride wouldn’t let him. How many of us know we need God’s help and can’t make it in this world on our own? Yet, we say; God is on my team. We need to let go of pride, and tell God he’s in control and realize he don’t need our help. The bible says; pride comes before a haughty fall. Get rid of pride and humble yourself before the almighty God.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. 

While going through the trials and tribulations of life, we have to look back sometimes. If God delivered us before won’t he do it again. When we think back, we thought we weren’t going to make it, but look at us now. No matter what you’re going through on today; God has already worked it out in the heavenly realm. You’re just waiting on it to manifest in the earthly realm. Thinking back makes you realize there’s nothing too hard for God. What you’re going through is just a light affliction. 

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. 

Stop letting people tell you you’re nothing. Stop believing the lies that you will never amount to anything. Jesus thought you were good enough to die for. Stop having a pity party. Stop saying woe is me. Jesus thought you were good enough to die for. If Jesus said it. Believe it, and that settles it. Speak life over yourself and say; I am who God says I am. I am above and not beneath. I am the head and not the tail. I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ. Jesus thought I was good enough to die for. 

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. 

When was the last time we got community involved without protesting a tragedy? When was the last time we invited our community to know God? Often times we interact with people that are like minded. It’s time to start talking with people in our own community just to get to know them. Then when tragedy strikes, we already have a relationship that makes it easy to talk about God or to talk about things that matter to them. 

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. 

We may come from different places but we’re all trying to get to the same place. We have different cultures, different upbringings, and different values. Yet, we have one God, one Jesus and one way to heaven. We come in at the door. Jesus is that door. You cannot make it to heaven not believing in Jesus and accepting him as your personal Lord and Savior.
