This Is The Day

This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. On today, find something to rejoice over. The mere fact that God allowed you to take part in his day is enough to rejoice. No matter what life throws at you on today, rejoice. Rejoice that God thinks enough of you to allow the enemy to try you. Rejoice that no one is making your funeral arrangements. Rejoice that things are as well as they are in your life. Rejoice that you have a sound mind and the activity of your limbs. Rejoice that despite of how you act, God still loves you if no one else does. Rejoice that you can serve God freely and don’t live in a country where you have to be a closet Christian. Life is too short to go around frowning, complaining, and saying woe is me.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Love Them Still

Once someone has cheated on you, your initial reaction is to be done with them. You’re hurt, you feel pain and sometimes you want revenge. These feelings are natural, but what if God told you to stay and love them still? In Hosea, the Lord told Hosea to love his wife still. After he cleaned her up she still went back to sleeping around. After he showed her what true love is, she still needed other men to give her pleasure and validation. After he showed her that he’d never do her wrong, the streets were still calling her name. In today’s society, people would call Hosea stupid for keep going after his wife, for still loving her. Yet, God says I’m married to the backslider. If you find yourself married and going through this very thing; listen to God and not people. For if God told you to stay, he has a reason.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Think About The Consequences

Before we act on our sins, we should think about the consequences. Is sinning really worth it? Is it worth sleeping with that person, contracting a disease and begging God for forgiveness? Is it worth cursing that coworker out, and losing our witness saying we’re a child of God? Is it worth crucifying Jesus afresh on the cross? If we think about the consequences, many of us would rather obey God. God has been too good to us for us to keep being disobedient and then asking him to bless us. We hate it when our own children disobey us; so how do you think we make God feel.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Get A Second Opinion

When people and society tell you something that you don’t agree with, get a second opinion. Don’t just go anywhere to get the second opinion, go to the bible to get the second opinion. I guarantee, that will be the only opinion that matters. When society has beaten you down and you’ve become weak; a second opinion will tell you, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. When bills are due and you don’t know where the money is coming from; a second opinion will tell you, I will supply all of your needs according to my riches in glory. When people tell you that your enemies are going to take you out; a second opinion will tell you, when my enemies came upon me they stumbled and fell. When the doctors tell you there is nothing more they can do or the disease is incurable; a second opinion will tell you, I am the God that heals thee and heals all manner of disease. One word from God can change your whole situation, your whole outlook on life and your whole prayer. So, stop getting the opinions from others and get your opinions from the word of God.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Stop Trying To Figure It Out

How long are you going to keep losing sleep over something you cannot control? Once you place your issues in God’s hands stop worrying about it. He has already worked everything out in your life. You just have to wait until it comes into fruition. That’s the part that keeps you worrying. You don’t realize that when you worry, you’re really telling God that you don’t trust him fully. Learn how to tell your issues that they belong to God and to leave you alone. When people try to talk about your issues, tell them; that’s God’s problem and you’ve learned to stay out of his business. God placed you on this earth to worship and praise him. He knows how your story is going to end, so just relax and let God handle this.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Stop Asking God That

Stop asking God to take you off of a job that you begged him for, and now you hate it. Have you ever thought that you were asking God to take your paycheck away? Did you ever think that when you prayed this type of prayer that you were asking God to place you into poverty? Do you see now, why God hasn’t answered your prayer? Instead of wanting to leave the job, ask God to let you be a witness on the job. You can be a witness that God will keep you through foolishness, people lying on you, and bosses hating on you. How else is God going to prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies if you keep running from them. By staying on that job, you’re letting them know that God can and will deliver you without taking you out of the situation. Lastly, pray for everyone on that job. Pray that God blesses them and protects them. Pray that God keeps them from all hurt, harm, and danger. Pray that they come to know the same God you know. Just don’t pray; Lord take my job away.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

All By Yourself

Sometimes God will get you all by yourself, so that you will know that he is God alone. It’s not that your friends don’t like you anymore, or that your family members are acting funny; it’s God not allowing them to be available for you so that he can deal with you. Sometimes, you want to keep relying on the same people, inadvertently making them your god or your resource. God doesn’t want that, he wants you to depend solely on him. So, if that means having people forsake you then so be it. If that means people not showing up for you then so be it. If that means, you having to be alone and cry all night long, then so be it. God will bless you in the midst of your burdens. He doesn’t always have to remove the burdens of your life to bless you. However; he does have to get you alone so that you don’t think the blessing came from your family members or your friends. When you are all by yourself with God, be like Jacob and wrestle with God until he blesses you. Don’t let go of him, hold on even if you have to hold on all through the night. 2Corinthians 4:17 says; for this light affliction which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. In other words, what you are going through is nothing compared to what God is going to bless you with.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

God Is Up To Something

Since the beginning of time God has been up to something. God doesn’t sleep nor slumber, he’s always doing something. In the beginning God created heaven and earth. In the end he speaks about the New Jerusalem in all it’s slender and glory. Even when you can’t feel God or sense his presence, he’s doing something in your life. When he allows trials to come in your life, he’s drawing you closer to him. When he allows blessings to come in your life, he’s teaching you how to be grateful. When he spares your life, he’s teaching you about grace and mercy. Never think that God isn’t doing anything; he has the whole world in his hands. Keep in mind that we serve an awesome God, an omnipotent God, and an omnipresent God. He’s alpha and omega and he’s working on your behalf.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Compassion

As Christians, we are suppose to have compassion on each other and those that do not profess our faith. We always talk about the people that are not coming church, but we never talk about the lack of compassion we show them. The bible says; with love and kindness have I drawn thee. We are not going to draw the sinner in by always talking about their sin. People know when they are living wrong and have messed up. No one likes for their mistakes and wrongdoings to be illuminated. We don’t have to condone wrongdoing to love on someone. We don’t have to agree with other people lifestyles to be kind to them. When we were in sin; someone showed us love and kindness. Someone prayed for us without condoning our sin. That’s how we came to Christ. If they didn’t show us love and kindness, we would have never stepped foot in a church. We need to stop forgetting where we came from. We came from sin and we enjoyed sinning. We were born into sin and shaped in iniquity.  If God was patient with us and waited for us to make an intelligent decision to serve him; why can’t we have that same patience with the people we are trying to draw to Christ? We never know what it is going to take to draw someone to Christ, but we can do our part and start by having compassion on them.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Fake Friends & Real Enemies

Psalm 55:12-14 The Message (MSG) says; This isn’t the neighborhood bully mocking me—I could take that. This isn’t a foreign devil spitting invective—I could tune that out. It’s you! We grew up together! You! My best friend! Those long hours of leisure as we walked arm in arm, God a third party to our conversation. Many of us are dealing with fake friends and real enemies and it hurts because the person that hurt us isn’t someone we just met. If we be honest with ourselves, we really want hurt, harm, and danger to come upon them, but we’re too scared to pray that prayer. Before we become so self-righteous, we need to see if we are the fake friend, or the real enemy. Sometimes it’s not the other person, it’s us. Sometimes, we are the one’s that people want to pray hurt, harm, and danger on, because we ran our mouths too much, or became disrespectful in some way. Have you ever realized that fake friends are meant to distract you and enemies are meant to draw you closer to God? When dealing with something like this, you need to seek God and ask him for clarity in the situation. When God answers you, don’t tune him out if he reveals that you are the fake friend or the real enemy.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
