Compassion

on July 3, 2015

As Christians, we are suppose to have compassion on each other and those that do not profess our faith. We always talk about the people that are not coming church, but we never talk about the lack of compassion we show them. The bible says; with love and kindness have I drawn thee. We are not going to draw the sinner in by always talking about their sin. People know when they are living wrong and have messed up. No one likes for their mistakes and wrongdoings to be illuminated. We don’t have to condone wrongdoing to love on someone. We don’t have to agree with other people lifestyles to be kind to them. When we were in sin; someone showed us love and kindness. Someone prayed for us without condoning our sin. That’s how we came to Christ. If they didn’t show us love and kindness, we would have never stepped foot in a church. We need to stop forgetting where we came from. We came from sin and we enjoyed sinning. We were born into sin and shaped in iniquity.  If God was patient with us and waited for us to make an intelligent decision to serve him; why can’t we have that same patience with the people we are trying to draw to Christ? We never know what it is going to take to draw someone to Christ, but we can do our part and start by having compassion on them.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
