What Do You Do

What do you do, when you have two people in the church; one is a lesbian and the other is straight and they both want to work in an auxiliary. The lesbian is faithful, loves God and is dependable. The straight one is a hell raiser, unpredictable, and unreliable. The church naturally says; gays and lesbians can’t work on any auxiliary, they can only come to church sit down and be taught. The church overlooks the fact that the straight person acts like the devil, and is very disruptive to the ministry. The bible says; whosoever will let them come. The whosoever comes, and the church tells them they are not apart of the whosoever. When you’re not the one in charge you pray from the sideline and ask God to give the one in charge wisdom to handle the matter. You love on both the individuals, because the bible says; with love and kindness have I drawn thee. Who’s to say God is not working on both of these individuals while they are serving. Church is the only place where we oust the gay, lesbian, homesxual, etc…but throw a bar-b-que for the murderer, drug dealer, pimp etc., when they get out of jail. I’m not saying we have to agree with there lifestyle choices, but we are to treat people humanly, and with respect. For we may not be lesbian, or gay; but we are liars, cheaters, stealers, home wreckers, fornicators, adulterers,  gossipers, etc… So, I ask you, what do you do? I encourage your response to this question.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

I’m Hungry

Have you ever gone to church and said I’m hungry? You were not hungry for food but for the word of God. You didn’t want no hoopla, you wasn’t interested in the entertainment part of the church, you just wanted the word of God. You were praying; Lord, let the pastor be on point today. To much of your dismay, you left church starving, you didn’t get what you came there for. You left feeling empty. When you’re hungry for the word, you don’t have wait until you get to church for a word. You have to start having your own bible study and devotional time with the Lord. The Lord will feed you until you want no more. You don’t wait for people to bring you food and feed you in the natural. So, don’t starve spiritually because you’re waiting on someone else to feed you. Everyone doesn’t have the same spiritual appetite you have; therefore, everyone doesn’t want what you want. Hungry people go after what they want. Tell God today, I’m chasing after you.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Train Up A Child

Proverbs 22:6 says; Train up a child in the way he should go:and when he is old, he will not depart from it.I have a meeting place with God and when I’m driving, and pass by my meeting place I turn off the radio and become silent to listen to God. One day I did this and my grandson said; mom, what are you doing? I said I’m listening to God. So, yesterday when I picked him up from school we were talking as I was driving, then we rode passed my meeting place with God. My grandson said shhhhhhh. I said why; he whispered, I’m listening to the Lord. The car was silent until we passed the meeting place then he resumed our conversation. I smiled so hard, because I know he’s listening and my grandson has a real love for the Lord. Sometimes, our children don’t want to hear us, but keep on speaking truth and teaching them the right way. They may never say anything now, but there will come a time that they will remember the lessons you taught them.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Speak Of His Goodness Now

While you’re going through your trials, speak of the goodness of the Lord. Don’t wait until your trial is over. Your faith is being built, tested, and tried right now; and you need to still believe God is who he say he is. You grow your faith by continually speaking of God’s goodness and you put in the atmosphere that no devil in hell will stop your praise or shut your mouth. While all hell is breaking loose in your life; still proclaim; I will bless the Lord at all times and his praise shall continually be in my mouth. While people are acting crazy on your job; proclaim, this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. While your money is funny, still proclaim; I’ve never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread. When you should be crying because life has dealt you a bad deal, still proclaim; my God is awesome! When you start speaking of the goodness of God it gets in your spirit and your spirit begins to agree with the word of God. That’s why you cannot speak negatively, because that gets in your spirit too, and your spirit will start agreeing with your negative words. God’s going to turn your situation around, it’s going to work in your favor. So, run on to see what the ends going to be.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Help Us To Be A Blessing

When we pray and ask God to help us be a blessing to someone else;  that cancels out random acts of kindness. Our acts of kindness becomes on purpose. We start looking for people to bless. We start treating people right on purpose; whether or not we know them. We don’t second guess the motives of others,  and we don’t look for anything in return. Now, when we pray; Lord help us to be a blessing, we don’t know who or what God is going to put in our path to test us on that prayer. Therefore, if we really are not trying to bless anyone, then we don’t need to pray that prayer. If we really are not ready to get out of our comfort zone, then we really don’t need to pray that prayer. Blessing others is not always convenient for us. Sometimes we have to go out of our way, and change our course of direction to bless someone else. No matter what we have to do to bless someone else, we should do it with gladness or not all at all.

Be blessed and continue to to be a blessing.

Search and Rescue

This morning when I got out of the shower to go to work everyone was gone. I became anxious because my grandson was gone too. I started calling my kids asking them did they take him to school. They were as confused as me. I ran around the house screaming his name and no answer. I ran downstairs screaming his name and no answer. Finally, I opened the door and screamed his name and he was in the car in his car seat waiting for me. He had opened the door himself, walked to the car, got in and placed himself in the car seat. After I got him out, I explained to him that he cannot do that. He has to wait for me to finish getting ready and that I was scared out of my wits. He said; I’m sorry and I love you to infinity and beyond. I was on a search and rescue mission this morning. I don’t know what made him leave the house, because he never does that. Just like I was on a search and rescue mission, Jesus is on one to.

Luke 19:10 says; For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. That sounds like a search and rescue mission to me. Many people are walking around lost, because they don’t know Christ. God is so diligently in his search he has equipped us to help in the mission. For Luke 22:32 says; But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. Once God has rescued us, he uses our mouths, feet, and hands to go and search for others. This is a mission possible, for there’s nothing to hard for God. So get up, get out and go find lost souls.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Wait Your Turn

Has God told you you’re next in line for a blessing, but you’re too anxious, and you’re trying to skip the person in front of you? Wait your turn. If God said it; then he will do it. The bible says; be anxious for nothing. Although, God said he’s going to bless you, he didn’t said when, where, and how. He told you you’re next in line, but he didn’t tell you how long the person in front of you would take. So, while you’re waiting on your blessing, enjoy God and the blessings he’s already given you.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

It’s Not Always The Enemy

When bad stuff happens, it’s not always the enemy. Sometimes it’s God. Sometimes God allows evil things or bad things to happen. In Psalms 44 the people were serving him faithfully, they had no other gods, they walked upright before the Lord, and he still allowed the enemy to overtake them and make them look like fools. In 1Samuel 16:14 the Lord let his spirit depart from Saul then he sent an evil spirit to Saul. In Job, God gave Satan permission to touch everything of Job’s except his life. So when things start going bad; instead of giving the enemy credit, we need to ask God is this you. We need to ask God what is the purpose of having me tormented by you. God may never answer the question or you may not like the answer he gives. However, you can take solace in the fact, that he won’t put more on you than you can bear and that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are the called according to his purpose. It’s not always the enemy, sometimes it’s God.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Do Your Best

Have you ever looked at what someone else was doing and started comparing yourself to them? Did you start to feel inadequate? Did you think you’ll never amount to them? Well you know that’s not true. God has you on a different path than the person you’re looking at. All God wants you to do is be obedient, be a willing vessel, and do your best.

When you start comparing yourself to other people you become unfocused. The enemy’s job is to get you to focus on everything other than the assignment God gave you. The person you’re looking at may seem to have it going on, but they are struggling in some areas of their life as well. No one said your path would be easy, but it’s your path. So make the most of it, trailblaze it, show people the awesomeness of God by cultivating it. Most of all, do your best and be a good steward over the path that God has given you.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

When Life Frustrates You

We have to be careful when life frustrates us, because frustration takes us off focus. When we become frustrated, sometimes we don’t think clearly and we act irrationally. Acting irrationally can cause more damage than intended. The bible says; be angry and sin not. So, there’s nothing wrong with being frustrated, however; the actions we do while being frustrated is the issue. We need to learn how to take all of our problems to God no matter how big or small. He will help us get through this frustrated time in our lives. We can tell him how we really feel and not worry about people posting it on social media, media backlash, a scandal, etc…I’ve learned, venting to God is very therapeutic. I’ve also learned, I may not always like his response back to me when I’m done. However, my issues are safe with him and he’s trustworthy, and he is the only one that can fix it.

So, when life frustrates you, don’t be so quick to lash out. Take a deep breath, look at the situation for what it is and try to make the wisest decision. We always ask what would Jesus do. Well, we know Jesus wouldn’t curse nobody out, bust them upside the head, burn their house down, shoot them, or go around and spread gossip. No!  Jesus would draw them with love and kindness.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
