It’s Not That Hard

It’s not that hard being nice to people, it’s a choice. You have to decide how you’re going to control your behavior. No one can make you do anything you don’t want to do. 

It’s not that hard being honest, it’s a choice. No one can make you lie, steal, and cheat. You do it because you want to do it. 

It’s not that hard being saved, it’s a choice. God gave all of us a free will to choose him or choose something else. The devil doesn’t make us sin, we sin because we want to and it feels good to us. Once sin creeps into our minds and we don’t cast those thoughts out, we act on it. Honestly, we make things harder than they really are.

God Did It Again

When I woke up this morning I just had to thank God, because he did it again. I realized he didn’t have to, so I just said thank you. When I saw that I was in my right mind knowing I should be crazy by now, and still had the activity of my limbs, I said; he did it again and had a praise break. When I went to work and found out I still had a job, I said he did it again, and just began to thank God. When I looked at my pay stub and saw my boss gave me a bonus, I said he did it again, and started thanking God. When I looked in the freezer, I had choices of what I was going to cook for my kids, I said; he did it again and began thanking God for food on the table. When I looked in my closet and asked my clothes which outfit wanted to be bless to be worn today, I said Lord! You did it again. Many people are looking for God to do big things in their life before they begin to thank him. Start noticing the little things and thanking him for the little things. When you do this, you’re telling God, you will be able to handle the big things and you won’t act like you don’t know where your blessing came from.

Lord We Need Your Help

Lord our country is growing crazier by the second. People are losing their minds, losing respect for others, loosing all hope and are resorting to evil tactics. Lord we need your help. Our cities have become war zones and killing grounds. Lord we need your help. The bible says; the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy; but you came that we may have life. Lord, when we can’t comprehend the madness that’s taking place in this world, help us not to lose our faith in you. Lord, help us to stand on the word while we’re looking at everything that’s going on. Help us Lord, not to get discouraged when everything is coming against us and against our communities. Lord, the pain of this world is overwhelming for many. It’s no longer about the cars, houses, and money; it’s about life, souls, and salvation. Lord, help us to turn from our wicked ways and seek you like never before. We’re in a crisis, our communities are in a crisis, our homes are in a crisis. Lord, we don’t love one another like we should and therefore; we don’t love you, respect you, or reverence you like we should either. Lord, forgive us for being a nation that has forgotten God. Forgive us, from turning away from truth. Forgive us, for thinking we’ve been getting away with sin. Lord, open our blinded eyes and unstop our clogged ears, and let us hear what you are saying. Lord, play time is over and you are not winking at us anymore. Lord, help us to get right before we get left, in Jesus name amen.

I can’t take care of you
Before God gave Adam a wife

he goes out and works a full day

 You see, it would be wrong for me

to aid and abet you in being lazy

 It would be wrong for me

to feed you and let you be fat and full

with no job

 It would be wrong for me

To let you stay in my house and watch TV

while I go to work

 It definitely would be wrong

for me to let you drive my car

You see, a man that doesn’t work

doesn’t eat.

A man with no money

gets no honey.

 A man with no car

means we’re walking.

And how can two walk together unless they agree

God Is Good

We know that God is good, but sometimes we forget just how good he is. It’s in those times that we need to look back over our lives and see how far he brought us. We need to remind ourselves that we haven’t always been saved, we haven’t always had the good job, we haven’t always lived where we live now, and begin to thank God for his goodness. When I wake in the morning and realize I’m not in the obituarary section, I say God is good. When I see my children with their health and strength, I say God is good. When I see how I could have been in a crazy relationship, but God intervened and split it up, I say God is good. Only you know how good God’s been to you. So, don’t be afraid or ashame to tell of his goodness.

My Grace Is Sufficient

Have you been praying to God and all he keeps saying is; my grace is sufficient? If so, don’t get upset. When God says; his grace is sufficient, he’s telling us, his grace will carry us through our bad times. God’s grace will keep us sane when we want to go off the deep end. God’s grace will empower us to deal with the issues life throws at us. When God doesn’t answer your prayer, you still have to continue the work he has for you to do. In the bible, Paul was a mighty man of God. Paul prayed and kept asking God to take the thorn out of his flesh, yet God said; my grace is sufficient. There’s power in the grace of God, but we can’t see it, because we are stuck on the fact that God didn’t answer our prayer the way we thought he should. We are stuck on the fact, that we are praying, fasting, and speaking God’s word, yet other people are being delivered and our household is still going through trials and tribulations. When we grasp the awesomeness of God’s grace, we will truly know that his grace is sufficient.

Do We Really Mean It

Psalms 19:14 says; Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Do we really mean this? Do we really want our speech and our thoughts to line up with God? Do we really want to please God? Our mouths say one thing, but our actions speak louder. We cannot talk about people, gossip, and lie on each other, then say; let my words be acceptable in your sight Lord. We cannot ponder mischief in our hearts, plan and plot revenge on others, then say; let the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight Lord. We can say; clean this house from the inside out. We can say; Lord cleanse me and purge me, wash me whiter than snow. We can say; Lord it’s me that’s the liar, the cheater, the home wrecker, it’s me O Lord standing in the need of prayer and forgiveness. I believe when we come clean with God and repent; then we can really mean what the Psalm is saying. For Psalms 51:17 says; The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Believe In Yourself

Stop waiting on someone else to believe in you and believe in the vision that God has given you. This will only slow you down and cause you to never go after your dreams. Everyone that says they are your friends, don’t want you to succeed, because you will leave them behind. Everyone doesn’t want you go after your dreams, because they are not pursuing their dreams. When you believe in yourself, you become and unstoppable force. No one or nothing can persuade you to stop dreaming, to stop trying to reach your goals, or to go after what God has showed you is yours. You have to make it up in your mind, that no matter what; you will be your own positive thought, you will be your own cheerleader, you will continue to seek God, keep it moving, and if you fail or fall you will get back up, dust yourself off and keep on pressing.

God Didn’t Say It Would Be Easy

When you got saved, did you think you had it made in the shade? Did the pastor or the church members make it seem like you’d never have anymore problems? Did you feel like somebody lied to you after giving your life to God? God never said this Christian journey would be easy. He never said everything was going to be lovely. He did say; if you suffer with me, you will reign with me. He did say; weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. He did say; no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Stop thinking trials and tribulations are supposed to bypass your address. God knows what he’s doing when he allows things to come upon you. It’s not easy going through tough times and tough situations, but it’s worth it.

Sometimes

Sometimes people don’t want you to fix their problems, they just want you to listen. Sometimes people don’t want your help, they just want you to encourage them to do a good job. Sometimes people want to be angry for a minute, they don’t want you trying to soothe them. Sometimes people just want to cry, they don’t want you to comfort them. Sometimes people just want to know that they can do it on their own, that they can stand on their own two feet and they are ok if they fail. However, they have people in their corner that keeps wanting them to be dependent on them, making them feel like they can’t make it without them. I’d rather people try and fail, then do nothing and be dependent the rest of their lives.
