I’ve Never Knew Love Like This Before

We should all have the testimony that I’ve never knew love like this before until we came to Christ. Jesus is the only man we can cheat on and he still loves us and forget about it. Jesus is the only man that we can lie to and he still loves us inspite of. Jesus is the only man that will see us act like we don’t know him, and still stand at the door and knock. Jesus is the only man that will tell us; though your sins be as scarlet, I will make you whiter than snow.

I’ve never knew love like this before. I never knew unconditional love where my sins are never thrown back in my face. I never knew I could say I’m sorry and all really is forgiven. I’ve never known a love that makes you want to do right, even when it’s so easy to do wrong. This kind of love just don’t happen. This love took sacrifice. This love took a beat down for me. This love have no boundaries. When I was sinking deep in sin, it was this love that lifted me. When nothing else could help me, it was this love that lifted me.

Now that I’ve tasted and seen that the Lord is good, an ordinary love just won’t do.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Make Up Your Mind

How many of us have wishwashy friends or have dated wishwashy people? They never knew what they wanted from day to day. Their character changed with the wind and you didn’t know who you were dealing with. They could never makeup their minds on what they wanted. One minute you were friends or dating, the next minute y’all couldn’t stand each other or y’all was giving each space. Quite frankly, they got on your last nerves, so you decided to make the decision to end the friendship or relationship because it was too hard trying to preserve whatever it was.

In the bible Jesus says; I rather you be cold or hot because if you’re lukewarm I will spew you out of my mouth. In other words, Jesus wants you to make up your mind. If you’re going to serve him, go all out. If you’re not going to serve him, go all out. But, don’t serve him today and act like you don’t know him tomorrow. Sometimes, we tend to treat Jesus like that crazy friendship or relationship we were in. I call it the on again, off again relationship. However, Jesus is saying, if you want me then be with me, if not then don’t, because if you don’t makeup your mind, I will make it up for you. We never want to get Jesus to the point where we make him sick of us. Where he just can’t stand us, because that’s what lukewarm people do, they make you sick. So we need to makeup our minds and take a stand today.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

A Good Steward

Many of us continue to ask God to bless us financially but, what are we doing with the finances? Are we shopping till we drop? Are we getting the newest purse, shoes, cars, rims? Why do we really want God to bless us financially? Is it because cash rules everything around us? Or has society told us that we’re nothing if we don’t have money? It’s nothing wrong with asking God to bless us financially, however, there is a responsibility that comes along with the blessing.

The bible says, to much is given much is required. God doesn’t bless us financially just for us. He intends for us to help somebody else. He intends for us to sow into the kingdom. He intends for us to pay our tithes and offering. He intends for us to be good stewards over everything he’s given us and not swindle it away. Now if you’re not paying your tithes and offering now, why should God bless you with more money? If you are being stingy with what you have now, why should God bless you with more? If you’re not being a good steward now, why should God bless you with more? What are your motives for wanting more?

Here’s a test. Many of us are going to get a tax refund. Is it already spent before it hits the bank? Do we have some big plans for it? Everybody is not going to pay their bills with it. Just like everybody is not going to give some back to God. Remember, everything you have is because of God and the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.

I’m not telling you what to do with your money. I just want you to be conscious about how you spend it then go to God like he’s the ATM. That’s not being a good steward. And, just a little advice for the ladies; if you pay hundreds of dollars for a purse and can’t keep that same amount of money in that purse at all times, what sense is it to have the purse? And, fellas, if you pay a lot of money to style and profile with your clothes and your cars but can’t keep that much money in the bank, then why do it to impress other broke people?

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Stay In Your Lane

If you don’t stay in your lane while driving you will cause an accident. If the police see you swerving in and out of  your lane they will pull you over and give you a ticket, because you are acting dangerously on the road. When we decide to drive in two lanes that wreckless endangerment and people lives are at stake because of us.

The same thing happens when we don’t stay in our lanes in church and in the spirit realm. When we don’t stay in our lanes at church, we cause confusion and people tend to get hurt and leave the church. We cause spiritual wreckless with people souls and endanger them, by leaving them wide open for the enemy to overtake them. When we get in the lane of the pastor we reak havoc on the church. God gives the vision and order to the pastor, not the people. You may think you can do the job better than the person that’s doing it, and you probably can. But, did God choose you to do it? Many all called but few are chosen. And, sadly some just go and are not sent. When God sees you getting into someone else’s lane, watch out.

Surely, you don’t think he will allow you to cause confusion, kill someone spiritually, jump and shout all over the church like you’ve done nothing wrong, act like you’re the pastor and don’t do nothing about it. The bible says and open rebuke is better than a secret love. You may have done some of these things privately, but God is going to expose you publicly. It’s so the people will see and fear the Lord.

It’s not hard to stay in your lane. It’s not hard to mind your own business. It’s not even hard to live saved. You have to want to do it.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Out Of The Mouth Of Babes

Yesterday I picked up my 3yr old grandson from daycare  as usual and began driving home. All of a sudden he started singing “When Jesus say yes, nobody can say no”.  Mind you, no church music was playing. I didn’t say anything, and then he said; mom do you hear me? Do you know people can’t say no to you when Jesus says yes. Instantly, God said listen to him, listen to what he’s telling you.

Many of us are looking for a word from God, but we think it’s coming through a prophet, preacher or pastor. My word came out of the mouth of a babe. Many times if the word doesn’t come packaged the way think it should come, we don’t receive it and we miss out on what God has for us. No matter, how the word comes or who it comes through, thank God that he still talks to us and that he gives us multiple chances to hear his voice.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Know Where You’re At

This morning when I left work at 3am I went to the ATM to get my son some money. I had not a care in the world. I left my car running and was not watching my back to see if someone was going to rob me, shoot me or rape me. When I got back in my car I thought; if I was back home in Chicago this wouldn’t have happened. My son would have been broke going to school today. But, where I live we don’t have to worry about any of this. Crime is not a factor in our everyday lives. I know I can only have this mindset while I’m living in this part of the world. I know where I’m at.

So, this brings me to my point. Do we know where we’re at in Christ? Do we know what areas in our lives are falling short? Do we know what areas in our lives have been stolen by the enemy?

I want to get to the point in Christ where I don’t worry about a thing. I want to get to a point in Christ where I don’t watch my back from church folk, family members and the enemy. I want to get to a point in Christ where I let God be God and stay out of his business. In some areas of my life I already do this, but in other areas of my life I’m failing miserably. I want the total package in Christ. His word says I didn’t give you the spirit of fear but of love, power, and a sound mind. I know where I’m at, do you know where you are?

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

To God You May Be

My youngest daughter and I were talking tonight and she said; what would you do without me in this house? She said there would be no humor in here. I quickly replied, I’m funny. She said, to God you may be but not to me. We both started laughing, but she said something so profound.

The only thing that matters is what God thinks of you and me. It really doesn’t amount to a hill of beans what other people think. If God thinks I’m beautiful, I don’t need anyone to tell me I’m beautiful. If God thinks you’re mighty, who cares if someone thinks you’re not all that. When God raises you up and brings you out, don’t look for anyone else’s approval. God is the approving authority in and on your life, not people.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Read The Instructions

Today I bought me a new laptop computer and turned it on and expected to know how to work it right away. I became flustered when everything I was doing was wrong. I said to my kids, I’m taking this back tomorrow and get my money back. Mind you, I’ve been looking at this computer for months. Researching it for months, only to have it and not like it. My daughter said; calm down where’s the instructions. She began to read the instructions and was like, see mom there’s nothing wrong with the operating system, it’s just the operator doesn’t know what she’s doing.

I thought to myself aloud, I don’t have the patience for this. Then Jesus dropped this in my spirit. How many of us have access to the bible but don’t read it? We want to act like we know what the word says but we don’t want to read it, so we won’t have to live by it. When we read the bible many times things become clearer to us. Just like when my daughter started reading the instructions, I began to operate the computer correctly. Jesus died so that we could come to him for ourselves. He’s in the word just like he’s in the prayer. So, the next time you need to know how to operate in life, read the instructions ( BIBLE) Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

You Don’t Always Have To Respond

Sometimes people just say things to see how you’re going to respond to them. You need to shock them and not respond. Pay them no mind. Just like Jesus did when they brought him the woman caught in adultery. He just was writing on the ground, finally he said; he without sin cast the first stone. It’s amazing to me how people live right for one day then want to highlight everyone else’s sin.

When people start talking about other people’s sin, I just think that could’ve been me, but God. When I see people snap and commit homicide, I think that could’ve been me, but God. When I see people out of their mind, I think that could’ve been me, but God. Instead of responding to the people that bring you negativity, start praising God in their face. Praise God that it’s not you. Praise God for delivering you, praise him for snatching you out of the enemies hand and saving you from hell. I guarantee if you do this, people will stop bringing you foolishness because that’s not the response they were looking for.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

That’s Not How The Story Ends

You may be going through something and it may seem as if the whole world is against you. No matter how hard you try, you just can’t seem to make anything work. Now you’re at your wits end and you have given up, you’ve thrown in the towel, you’ve realized whose truly in your corner and you don’t know where you stand in your faith in God. Actually, you’re right where God wants you. Now that you’ve come to the end of yourself, God doesn’t have to compete with you for his glory. Now that you’ve come to the end of yourself, God can be God.

Your story doesn’t end with you broke, busted and disgusted. Your story doesn’t end with you being defeated. Your story ends with you being an overcoming. Your story ends with you having more than enough, with you having the victory, with you increasing your faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

So, no matter what the story looks like now, in the end you win.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
