Happy Anniversary

Today makes one year that Woman2Woman Ministries has been blogging. I’m in awe of God that he has given me something to say everyday. As a preacher you wonder if you will have something to say every Sunday, let alone everyday. You also wonder if what you say will be just what the people need. Hopefully, I have done this.

I want to thank everyone that has supported this ministry, that has encouraged me to keep writing blogs when I really wanted to stop, that has commented on my blogs and that share my blogs on their social networking websites. You all are simply the best. As God continues to use me, I will continue to blog. I pray the words I blog, uplift you, edify you, and cause a change in your lives. Again, thank you and God bless you.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

When NO Is Not An Option

There was a woman in the bible that had a daughter that was vexed with the devil and she went to Jesus for help. Instead of Jesus casting the devil out of her child, he told the woman it is not meet to give the children’s bread to the dogs. This didn’t even phase the woman she was sharp and responded quickly to Jesus, and said; even the dogs eat the crumbs from the children’s table.

See Jesus told this woman he wasn’t going to heal her child and the woman said maybe you didn’t hear me Jesus. My child has a problem that only you can solve and NO is not an option. What she was telling Jesus, was if you didn’t want to heal my daughter then you should’ve never let me hear about you. If you didn’t want to heal my child, you should’ve never said I AM that I AM.

There are some times when we can go boldly to God and say NO is not an option. It’s best to know his word first before you go. And, just like he healed the woman’s daughter, he can heal you, your children and your whole family.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

How Much Are You Willing To Pay

For freedom: A soldier goes to war and sometimes don’t make it home
For justice: Ordinary citizens are willing to march and protest
For food and rent: A single parent is willing to work as many jobs as it takes to survive
For peace: A person is willing to let go someone they love
For love: A person is willing to do anything just not to be lonely
For a friend: A person is willing to show themselves friendly
For salvation: Jesus laid down his life for us, took on our sins and continue to watch us crucify him afresh every time we sin.

That’s quite a price to pay. Are you willing to pay even half that much?

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

There Is A Sound

Parents know the sound of their children’s cries. There is a cry our children can make and we tell them; you better be quiet before I give you something to cry about. Then there’s a cry our children can make, that makes us stop dead in our tracks, drop what we’re doing and go see about them.

Jesus is the same way. There is a sound we can make, that Jesus says that’s my child and I need to see what they want. The sound of worship makes makes Jesus respond. The sound of his word makes Jesus respond. The sound of praise makes Jesus respond. There is also a sound that makes Jesus keep us in our situations a bit longer. The sound of murmuring and complaining. The sound of disobedience. The sound of undermining authority.

What sound are you going to make today? Will the sound get Jesus to respond, or will the sound get Jesus to react? There is a grave difference.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Happy Valentines Day

Today there will be a lot of couples professing their love for each other. Some single person may see this day as gut wrenching, or perhaps a single person or married person may be feeling extremely lonely on this day. I say to those individuals, if you don’t have anyone in the natural to love you, love yourself.

Go all out on yourself. Treat yourself, wine and dine yourself. Who in the natural can love you like you, nobody. Who in the natural can treat you better than you treat yourself, nobody. The one thing about loving yourself is, you won’t mistreat yourself. You won’t talk down to yourself. When you step into the room, self is going to say, look at you turning heads.

Don’t allow this day to get you all depressed and messed up emotionally. Some people are going to have to pay a heavy price today just to be loved by someone. A price, that spiritually they don’t want to pay. A price, that naturally can turn their world upside down. A price, that if they count up the cost they will realize, being loved by the wrong person ain’t worth it.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Say It Ain’t So

Have you asked about an old friend only to find out they are in jail, a crackhead, divorced, or dead? And you say, say it ain’t so.

Later on in life, you asked about another friend and you found out that they’ve turned their lives around, they’re preaching and pastoring, they have a successful career, their children are thriving and you say, say it ain’t so.

No matter if you’re down today or up tomorrow, 24hrs makes a world of difference. We all have a chance to turn things around for the better. We just have to include God on our plans and allow him to work on us and in us.

Trouble don’t last always but tough people do. Someone may have counted you down but you’re not out. Though you’ve fallen, get back up again.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Jesus

Sometimes situations and circumstances are so dire that we don’t even have the strength to pray. Sometimes situations and circumstances doesn’t call for long drawn out prayers, they cause for one word. Jesus! There’s power in his name. Demons tremble at his name.

When you’re at work and things start going wrong, just say Jesus. When you’ve done all that you can do, just say Jesus. When the doctor gives you a bad report, just say Jesus. When your mother and father forsake you, your best friend is nowhere to be found, your love one walks out on you, your child is missing, just say Jesus. In the midst of it all Jesus will give you peace. He will wrap his loving arms around you and hold you in the midnight hour. He will comfort you when words aren’t enough. He will heal your mind, body, heart and soul.

With all of this madness going on in the world, we should be calling on Jesus continually. We need to plead the blood of Jesus over our children, our family, our co-workers, our minds and thoughts. Now days, people are on the edge and they are one action away from making the headline news; sinners and Christians alike. So, those of us that are of a sound mind and our relationship is built on a firm foundation, let’s lift up our sisters and brothers and help them lift Jesus. On your commute today, pray for the other driver, the other person on the bus, train or plane sitting next to you. You don’t have to know what they’re going through, just know they are in a situation that calls for Jesus.

There’s nobody like Jesus.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Is This It

Have you ever wondered is this all it is to life? Or, what’s the true meaning of life? Perhaps you may have said, there’s got to more than what I’m experiencing.

There is more, but it comes from having a relationship with God. When you are in a relationship with the Lord, your experiences are unexplainable. People will start trying to figure out how you’re doing what it is you do. They will start counting your check for you. They will start assuming you are doing something shady to get your blessings. But if they only knew, it’s just Jesus showering you with his love, mercy, grace and forgiveness.

So you never have to wonder again, is this it. All you have to do is cultivate your relationship with the Lord.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

What In Hell Do You Want

Why do many people live a life worthy of going to hell, after they say they’ve given their lives to God? I was standing in the store and I heard two people talking. They were laughing and one of them said; you’re going to hell and the other one replied, you’re going with me and we’re going to be playing bones in hell. Then they began to talk about how much fun they were going to have in hell.

When I read the bible it says, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. It says, there will be torment all day long. It says, you won’t get any relief in hell. So I ask you, what in hell do you want when heaven has all that you need. The bible says in heaven the streets are paved with gold. You will have your own mansion. The angels will be saying holy, holy, holy all day long. There will be no more crying, no more disappointment, no more pain.

Hell is real. And, if we don’t repent and turn from our wicked ways we will see just how real it is. It’s timeout for saying God knows my heart. He knows the wickedness of our heart. He knows the deceit that’s in our heart. He knows the revenge we seek in our heart. Since we have a chance of getting into heaven, we should make up our minds to leave hell alone.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Caught Off Guard

Normally I pray, Lord don’t let the enemy catch me off guard, but the other day it wasn’t the enemy it was my 10yr old daughter. We were in the store and we were just browsing the aisles when she spotted something she wanted. I told her no and kept walking. I happened to go back by the item and she just started preaching very loud. At first I smiled and just started laughing because I was caught off guard. She scared this one lady and that’s what really made me laugh.

She started saying I promised the Lord if he would just do this for me then I wouldn’t ask for nothing else. When she came to herself, I told her every time we promise the Lord that we will never ask him for something again, we lie. Because we are always asking him for everything. We ask him to meet our needs, we ask him to meet our wants, we ask him for stuff and people that mean us no good. We ask, we ask, we ask. The next day we went to church and it was time for the children to sing. She took the mike and she blew, the whole church was surprised. I was smiling from ear-to-ear.

My daughter reminded me of something in the aisle of that store. She reminded me to be ye ready at all times, to preach the word in season and out of season. She reminded me that God will use you whenever and wherever he chooses to. So don’t get caught off guard.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
