Fax

Have you ever faxed something to somebody, and you either got a message that said; fax completed, ok, failed or try again? When you got the message completed or ok you were happy, but when you got the message failed or try again you got upset. Perhaps you even had to go and pay to get your documents faxed and it still didn’t go through but you had to pay anyway.

Sometimes, our prayers are like the fax we try to send. Sometimes, the Lord says; got it, complete, working on it as we speak. Other times, the Lord says; failed, come again, wait and bad connection.

When this happens, we get the woe it’s me syndrome. We never stop to think if we’ve prayed in Jesus name. If we’ve prayed with unbelief in our hearts. If we’ve prayed with an ought still in our hearts against our sister or brother. If we’ve asked amiss. If we’ve prayed with ulterior motives in our hear. None of this comes to mind. So we start calling on God asking him did he receive our prayers. You know how when you fax something and you call the person and let them know you’ve faxed it. And they say let me check the machine. God is saying, I haven’t received your prayer, it didn’t get pass the ceiling, it bounced back down. Resend it.

The problem is, we treat our prayers like a fax. Not realizing that unlike a fax, Jesus knows who’s on the other side of the prayer. He knows us inside and out, and he’s just not going to let anything get to God. Just like we got to put the paper in the fax machine to send it; we have to put our prayers through Jesus to get to God.

So, the next time we go to pray; we need to remember if our hearts are not right, the prayer is going nowhere.

Check your fax.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
