In The Place Of God

What happens when you’re in the place of God and it doesn’t feel good?

Sometimes, when you’re in the place of God, he will allow hell to be all around you. It’s God that puts you in the situation and not the enemy. When this happens, know that God is doing something in you. Either he’s purifying or refining you.

Neither one feels good at the time, but they both are for your good. The safest place in the world is in the place of God. So when this place gets uncomfortable, don’t listen to the enemy saying serving God isn’t worth it. For we all know the devil is a liar.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Not Everybody’s Happy

You think because you’re successful that everybody’s supposed to be happy for you. Well you’re wrong. You must understand that everybody is not in the same season as you are. They’re season may be the season of struggle and your season is the season of reaping.

Assuming or expecting everyone to be happy for you, is setting yourself up for failure. It’s setting you up to get mad, to be disappointed, and to get your feelings hurt. Besides, your success doesn’t hinge on someone else’s happiness anyway.

So, before you go talking about your blessings and how successful you are, be prepared for everybody not to be happy.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

What Will Your Record Show

We all have a record whether or not we want to admit it. Some of us have speeding tickets, parking tickets, misdemeanors, felonies, etc… However, the record I’m talking about is with God.

Will your record show that you ran people out of the church? Will your record show that you were one of the most meanest, hypocritical Christians that ever joined the church? Perhaps, your record will show that you praised God every chance you got.

Whatever it shows, just be ready to give an account for every deed done in your body and every idle word. The good thing is, you still have time to get your record straight.

What will your record show?

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Is It An Option

Today I told my daughter to do something and she asked, is it an option. I replied, nothing I tell you to do is an option. I asked her, who gives their child an option. Then God spoke to my spirit and said I do, I give my children options.

God gives us the option of smoking or non-smoking. It’s our prerogative where we want to spend eternity. What section fits us best. It’s not God’s will that none perish but that all have eternal life. Sadly, many people will choose the smoking section. The bible even says; broad is the gate that leads to hell and many take that path. But narrow is the path to heaven and few be found on that road.

Where you spend eternity is a major decision. You must choose your option wisely. Once you choose your option, God will ask is that your final answer.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Because You Don’t Listen

Yesterday I told my youngest daughter to get up and start cleaning up. She sat there for a minute, didn’t move, and acted like she didn’t hear me. Suddenly, my grandson ran to my bedroom. I followed him to see why was he going into my bedroom, and to my surprise he was taking my belt out of my jeans on the chair. I asked him, what are you doing? He said; I’m getting your belt because she ain’t listening. At first I laughed a little but my grandson was serious. I laughed because he’s three and he already knows that there are consequences in life when you choose not to listen. Then I began to think about Mary and Martha. How Martha wanted to tell Jesus on Mary because Mary chose to listen. How Martha wanted Jesus to get Mary and Jesus had to say; Martha Martha you are troubled about too many things. Mary chose the good part and that is to listen.

How many of us are not listening and responding when God tells us to do something? Just like my grandson going to get the belt, God has a way to whip us right back in shape. And with God, you’re never too old to get a beating. As long as we think we can challenge God’s authority, and think we can select what we will and won’t do of his word, we are asking for a beat down. And when we begin to say woe it’s me. Lord why are you doing this. He will reply, because you don’t listen.

What will it take for you to listen and respond to the voice of God?

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

The Right Direction

Traveling the train system in the country that I live in can be a bit tricky. You can’t always go by the signs, you have to also go by the different train lines. It’s very easy to get turned around, and you will be going the wrong direction if you’re not careful.

Do you know what direction your life is going in? Is it the direction God wants you to go, or is it going in the direction you want to go?

You know your life is going in the direction that God wants, when you are faced with obstacles, haters, and all hell is breaking loose. You know your life is going in the direction you want it to go, when everyone likes you, you compromise here and there, and the enemy is not trying to stop you.

If you’re not going in the right direction, stop, pump the breaks and turn around. Stop wasting time and energy going nowhere fast. And start gaining time doing what you were created to do.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Baller

Growing up the term “Baller” had two meanings. The first meaning was somebody was very good at playing basketball, and and their skills were going to get them out of the hood. The second meaning meant, you had money, a dope car, a loud sound system, but you didn’t have a legal job.

Unlike the world, Jesus is a baller in his own right. In fact he’s the ultimate baller. He has cattle on a thousand hills. He gives all his children a mansion. Where he lives, his streets are solid gold. Literally, the world is his. He has all the power. When demons raise up, he has a legion of angels at his disposal to handle them. When he’s on the scene, the whole neighborhood gets fed and they don’t have to wait for thanksgiving. He has a way of making mean, evil people bless you when they don’t want to. He knows how to move a crowd. When Jesus steps into a building, everybody hands go up and they stay there. Can you say BALLER.

He does all of this legally. He makes no secret about who he is and what he can do. And the good thing is, he adopted us. Therefore, we are entitled to some of the things he has. It’s just like I have good job, and because my children belong to me; they are entitled to some of the benefits my good job provide.

So, the next time you see a wanna be baller. Tell them to take a look at a real baller.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

I’m On The Verge

Has so many things come at you at one time, and you think to yourself I’m on the verge and if one more thing happens I’m going to snap? Have you ever been so on the verge that you even scared yourself.?

Christians don’t like to admit that they get on the verge and that they be ready to set it off. However, their actions speak volumes. They lose their witness daily because they develop the “can’t help its”. You know, they can’t help it that they cursed you out. Besides, you should’ve never said what you said to them in the first place. They can’t help that they lied to you. Besides, why do you keep asking questions you really don’t want real answers to anyway. They can’t help that life has dealt them a bad hand. Besides, they never take advantage of any opportunity that comes their way, always looking for the next best thing.

If we are truthful and honest with ourselves, we can honestly say that; we’ve helped ourselves be on the verge. The enemy didn’t do it. We did him a favor this time, and helped in our on demise. And, instead of recognizing it for what it is; we divert the blame to something or someone else.

You want to stop being on the verge, look at the man in the mirror and become like Isaiah when he said; woe it’s me for I am undone. Become undone with yourself then be honest with yourself. You will find that being on the verge is not where it’s at. Then you will be ready to have your feet planted on solid ground and shod with the preparation of the gospel.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

I Had It Coming

No one likes to admit that they are wrong or that they messed up. In fact, we will try to cover it up before we let someone fine out that we don’t know it all, or have it altogether. When we get called on it, we know we had it coming.

It’s the same thing with sin. We keep sinning and when God says; enough is enough then allows calamity to come on us; we know we had it coming. However, we try to act like we didn’t do anything that bad to warrant God’s punishment on us. The bible says; be ye holy, therefore I am holy. Holiness without shall no man see the Lord. The problem is, we keep saying I’m not happy and being saved is no fun.

God never called us to happiness, nor do we see the word fun nowhere in the bible. God called us to holiness and if we live holy, he will ensure that we have some happiness. Truth be told, it’s our flesh warring against our spirit, and when we let our flesh override our spirit, whatever God does to us, we had it coming.

An open rebuke is better than a secret love. Look at it this way; I’d rather God rebuke me now and I make it into heaven, than God let me keep getting by and I bust hell wide open. If you die and go to hell it’s nobody’s fought but yours and you had it coming.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Where Art Thou

In the book of Genesis God asked Adam and Eve where art thou, when they where hiding, because they were naked.

Has God had to come looking for you? Has he had to ask you, where are thou in your praise & worship? Where art thou in your giving? Where art thou in your unconditional love?

God should never have to ask us where art thou like he did Adam and Eve. Instead, he should be able to brag on us like he did Job. He should be able to say; have you considered my servant. My servant will praise me in-spite of. My servant will give in-spite of. My servant will love in-spite of. I don’t have to look for my servant, I know where they’re at.

Do you know where you are at? Where art thou.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
