There’s Still Time

On this New Year’s Eve there’s still time for you to make good on your promise to God. Everyone is talking about God still has until 11:59 tonight to keep his word, what about keeping your word?

There may have been a prophesy spoken over your life this year, but did the prophet tell you that it came with conditions? No, probably not. So let me help you out. Whenever a word is spoken over your life, ask God, what is it that I am suppose to do in order for this to come to pass. Yes, I said ask him. Because we be in church and when the word goes forth, we become emotional and the prophet of the house and the hour never goes into depth as to what your part is. They just always say what God’s part is.

Throughout the bible you will find where God told the people if they did this thing, then he would do that thing. For example, 2 Chronicles 7:14 says if my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.

Have you done your part, so that God can do his part? It’s not too late.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Do You Remember

Do you remember your first encounter with God? You know the moment you realized he saved your soul from a burning hell. Do you remember how you couldn’t explain the felling, but you wanted everyone to feel what you felt? Remember how you had so much zeal for Christ, that you always prayed and read the bible.

Isn’t it strange, that when we first got saved we were excited and we always had time for God. Now that we’ve been saved a minute, we just can’t find time to pray or read the bible. Church service holds too long. We are really not feeling the pastor anymore, and don’t let me get started on the people in the church.

Just like Paul asked the Galatians, oh foolish Galatians who have bewitched you? I ask the same question. Who foolish Christians who have bewitched us, into thinking that we have arrived? Who or what has made us think that we are better than the people in the church? What makes us think that we don’t have time to spend all day in church, knowing at any given moment all of us are apt to sin. Where in the bible does it say you will always agree with your pastor or like the decisions he or she makes?

Before this year is out, we need to ask God to take us back to where we first believed. Take us back to where we were obedient to his word. Take us back to where we were not looking at everybody in the church, because we were to busy making sure our soul was right. Take us back to where we reverenced the pastor and had a reverential fear of the Lord.

God help us to remember, then Lord help us to get back on track.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

We Haven’t Made It Yet

Everyone is talking about what 2015 is going to bring, but no one is talking about what today holds. Sadly, everyone is not going to make it to see 2015. Or perhaps, God may decide it’s time to send Jesus back today, or tomorrow. Have you prepared for today? Do you have the armor of God on today? Have you discounted the last few days left in this year? Are you already living in 2015?

The bible says; what is your life but a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow. I’m not trying to dampen anyone’s spirit, but when Jesus taught his disciples to pray, he said give us this day. Only worry about today, for tomorrow will take care of itself. And, if we are blessed enough to see 2015 then we can be concerned with that. But until then, this is the day that the Lord hath made. This is the day of repentance. This is the day, that God allowed you to take part in and see what mighty things he’s done. This is the day, to make up in your mind, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

We haven’t made it to 2015 yet, but we have made it to today. What will your response be to today?

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

You Don’t Know My Story

Everyone has a story, that’s what gives them their testimony. However, everyone thinks their story is more important than the next persons story. That’s why when you go to church and sit next to the thieves who try to steal your praise, they think your story is irrelevant. Therefore, they want you to sit down and stop praising God.

The only difference between your story and the other persons story is, you decided to praise your way through your story. No matter how bad your story got, you trusted God. No matter how much you wanted to throw in the towel, you gave one more praise. It was that praise that allowed you to run on to see what the ends going to be.

And since your neighbor sitting on the row next to you don’t understand that, they don’t want you to praise. They don’t understand how you could trust God and your spouse has left you. They don’t understand, how you can praise God when the person you trained for the job is now your boss. They don’t understand, how you keep telling people of the goodness of God when you are barely making ends meet.

So, the next time you go to praise God and the thieves in church start looking at you; tell them, there’s a story behind my praise but I don’t have time to tell you. Then praise God like he’s already made a way. Praise God like he’s restored everything that the palmerworm, the cankerworm and the locust have eaten up. Praise God, like you’re living in the overflow. When you think about it, people really don’t need to know your story. All they need to know is that you have a charge to keep and a God to glorify.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Fear

All of us have fear of some kind. Some of us fear failure, while others of us my fear being alone. Some of us may fear losing a job, while others of us fear becoming successful. Job said; the thing I feared the most has come upon me.

How has fear guided your life? What have you done or failed to do because fear gripped you to the point that it paralyzed you? When fear pops up, put the word of God on it. No matter how many times a day you are confronted with it. That means for some of us, we are going to speaking the same word of God all day long.

After while, that thing you feared will not have a stronghold on you anymore. But don’t get comfortable, the enemy is going to come at you with something else. And, that’s ok, that’s his job. But, your job is to stay in the word, and stay prayed up. So when the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy. You can say no way devil, no weapon formed against me shall prosper.

Stop letting fear hold you back.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Now That Christmas Is Over

Now that Christmas has come and gone, are we going back to being Scrooge ? Are we going back to being stingy and forgetting the gift of God? Do we realize that Jesus is the gift that keeps on giving?

Because Christmas has come and gone, doesn’t mean that people are still not in need. It doesn’t mean that people don’t need an angel to come see about them. It doesn’t mean that we forget about them until next year this time. We shouldn’t look to do good deeds just twice a year, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We should look to please God everyday. And, doing it unto the least of them is doing it unto God.

What will you do now that Christmas is over?

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all of you. Enjoy your family and friends. Don’t get upset if you didn’t get the gift you wanted. Remember it’s not about the gifts anyway. It’s about Jesus and he’s the ultimate gift.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

T’was The Night Before Jesus

T’was the night before Jesus and all through the land
People were murmuring, arguing, stealing and hiding their hands
Everyone was shopping for gifts to put under the tree
All the while God was saying will anyone bless me
No one paid attention
No one even made mention
Then the trumpet sounded and the Lord cracked the sky
Oh my God this is the day you die
No time to repent
A life not well spent
If only you took heed
No time for good deeds
No more grace and mercy, yet you beg God all to well
And he says depart from me, go straight to hell
Still standing before God in shock
He reminds you that God is not mocked
You scream and cry and awake from your sleep
You fall to your knees and start to weep
You say Lord I’m sorry, I give you my life
Do what you have to do to make me right

What are you doing the night before Jesus comes for you?

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Complete Instructions

When I tell my kids to clean up I find that they always try to find a loophole in what I told them to do. For instance, I will say; clean up the living room. When I go back in the living room I still see stuff on the floor and my kids will say; you didn’t say pick up the paper or clean off the tables. You said, clean up the living room. I then ask my kids, what do y’all think I meant? They get smart and say; we thought you wanted us to fluff the pillows on the couch.

Are we like that with God? Do we try to find a loophole in what he tells us to do? The word says to repent. So, do we say Lord I repent? Or, are we waiting on God to give us complete instructions on how to repent? Lord I repent for lying, Lord I repent for fornicating, Lord I repent for cheating people and cheating on you, Lord I repent for not doing your will and making your name a reproach among men, etc…

There is no loophole in the word of God, and we can keep playing and acting like God ain’t giving us complete instructions if we want to. But, the bible says be not deceived God is not mocked, that that a man sows he shall also reap. The bible goes on to say, it’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Keep thinking you found a loophole and in hell will you lift up your eyes. Keep thinking you’ve mocked God, outwitted God and an open rebuke is sure to come. Keep thinking God won’t chastise you and let your family and friends see you get the beating of your life.

Best believe, when God talks he gives complete instructions.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Before You Do It

Before you go and willingly sin, think about how good God has been to you and let that thought change your mind.

Before you crucify Jesus afresh on the cross again, think about how Jesus got beat down, nailed to the cross and died for your sins. Then let that thought change your mind.

Before you judge somebody else’s situation, think about how it could be you in that situation. But God decided to shield you, and let that change your mind.

Before you think you got it going on, remember the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, and let that change your mind.

Before you quit that job that you begged God for, then complained it only makes pennies; think about how those pennies keep food on the table, clothes on you and your kids back and a roof over your head, and let that change your mind.

Before you do anything else today, repent with your whole heart, and let that change God’s mind.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
