Have you messed up so bad, that people think and say that you will never amount to nothing? Have you ever seen an old beat up car and after many months of hard work, it comes out looking brand new?
That’s what God is going to do for you. After months and months of working on you, he’s going to bring you forth as pure gold. People are going to say you’re acting brand new. Just tell them you’ve been restored. Tell them God had you on the potters wheel and he was shaping you, making you, and molding you.
Once you’ve been restored don’t apologize for it, and don’t go back to what God delivered you from. So what if people keep bringing up your past. The bible says; agree with your adversary quickly, then keep it moving.
Besides, restoration feels a whole lot better than condemnation.
