Thank God, That’s Over

Ecclesiastes 7:8 says better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

Have you ever been in a relationship or business deal and it ended? When it was over you said; thank God, that’s over. When something comes to an end, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it has to be a bad thing.

Besides, we’ve all heard the term; all good things come to an end. When the end comes we should embrace a new beginning and look forward to a new chapter in our lives. Don’t get bent all out of shape and start acting like you’re a child of satan. But rejoice and be glad that God knows what’s best for you.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

You’re Not The Only One

Why do we go around acting like we are the only one’s going through something? Are we looking for sympathy or are we inviting people to our pity party?

You’re not not the only one wondering how bills are going to get paid.
You’re not the only one fed up with the people in your church.
You’re not the only that hate your job, but do everything you can to hold on to it, because you don’t want to feel the sting of unemployment.
You’re not the only one that’s a single parent.
You’re not the only one that’s in a marriage that you despise.

Bottom line, you’re not the only one.

However, you can choose to be the only one in your situation to do something about your circumstances, instead of complaining all the time.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Is It Really A Blessing From God

The bible says; the blessings of The Lord makes rich and adds no sorrow. So when people prophesy to us that God’s going to bless us with a house, car, money, land etc… Is it really a blessing from God?

I’m asking this because I was wondering when I get the house and car, did God just bless me with debt? Or did I just bless myself with debt? When I get the money, did God just bless me with the money, with a job that I work so many hours that I can’t enjoy the fruits of my labor or did I just bless myself and knew from the get go that this job would take all of my time but I get paid a lot.

If it’s truly God’s blessings, then why do we work so hard to keep it and why do we worry so much about affording it.

Please comment back because this was a thought I just had, and I would like to know what you think.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

What Will It Take

What will it take for you to completely sell out to God? Yes, you are saved. Yes, you are a Christian, but you’re not completely sold out to Christ.

You have no problem jumping back to the old you. You say things like; don’t make me lose my religion or I’m going to do what I have to do and just ask for forgiveness later.

That’s not being totally sold out. That’s not having the characteristics of God. It shouldn’t take a tragedy or something horrible to happen to you for you to be completely sold out. The mere fact that you are covered by the blood of Jesus should spark a total commitment in you.

Only you know what it will take to be totally sold out to Christ.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Relax

In this busy world we live in, we have to take time to relax. I know that sounds foreign to many of you but you must take time away from everybody and everything.

When you relax, you become calmer and a better person to be around. When you don’t relax, honestly, no one likes you; they tolerate you. Do you really just want to be tolerated?

I know time is precious to us all but if you can’t take 10 minutes out of the day for yourself, you need to reevaluate some things in your life. Even Jesus said to rest on the sabbath day.

You do for everybody else, now do something for yourself. Read that book, cook that dish you’ve been waiting to try, take the nap that keeps escaping you, get that massage, etc… You get the point.

Today, is all about relaxing and taking care of yourself.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

It’s Never Too Late

Do you go around with regret thinking it’s too late? Well while the blood is running warm in your body it’s never too late.

It’s never too late to say I’m sorry, unless the person dies before you get to apologize.
It’s never too late to go back to school, unless you don’t have the mental capacity to learn.
It’s never too late to try something you’ve never done before, unless you allow fear to paralyze you.
It’s never too late to love, unless you are dead set on being hateful.
Finally, it’s never too late to give your life to Christ while the blood is running warm in your veins, unless you are ok with being hell bound and serving satan throughout eternity.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Taking Chances

Are you afraid to take chances in life or are you satisfied with playing it safe?

There is no room for playing it safe when you’re a Christian. Jesus wants us to step out on faith. When you step out on faith, you’re saying I’m going against what’s normal by society standards; you’re taking chances.

Look at things this way; you took a chance and gave your life to Christ, not really knowing who he was. You took a chance on that person you’re dating or married and you didn’t know if they were crazy. You took a chance and went to school not even knowing if your were going to finish.

Step out on faith, take chances; you’ll never know how far you can go if you continue to play it safe.

Be blessed and continue to be blessing.

Do Your Own Dirty Work

Has someone ever pumped you up to talk down to or hurt someone else? Have you ever pumped someone up to do the same thing?

Have you ever considered that someone was trying to get you to do their dirty work? Or that you were trying to get someone else to do your dirty work?

Never let people suck you into their misery and don’t suck people into your misery. Make them do their own dirty work and you do your own dirty work.

As soon as someone starts saying; if I were you, please stop them and recognize what they are trying to do. Now if you ask them for their opinion then ok, but if they just start to offer their opinion; know that they don’t have your best interest at heart.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Your Portion

I was told the prisoners in Japan get served their food proportionate to their body size, and they don’t get three meals a day. I thought about that while I was eating, and said to myself; I would starve. I also thought about the word of God, when the bible tells us that God gives each of us a measure of faith.

Nobody gets the same portion. Before we were formed in our mothers womb, God knew how much faith we needed to start out with. He gave all of us enough faith, to believe his word, and to make an intelligent decision to follow him. That was included in our measure of faith or our portion.

We should never look at someone else’s portion and get mad when we see they have more than us. Because, we don’t know what they had to go through to get that portion, and we don’t know what they are going through to keep it.

Be satisfied with your portion and after you’ve been faithful over a few things God will make you ruler over many.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Resources

Do we tap into all of our resources that are available to us? Or, do we wait on someone else to tap into the resources and wait for them to tell us what to do?

Jesus is a great source and resource to have; however, do we really tap into him like we should. I find that many people want other people to pray for them. I also find that many people would prefer for others to live a godly life and they just reap the benefits from being around them.

We should use every resource available to us. There are resources for school, jobs, businesses and many other things we can think of. But, if we never use them what good are they? If we never try Jesus or call on him for ourselves, what good is he to us?

We need to learn how to tap into every source and resource that God has afforded us to have. We may just find ourselves better off than most.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
