Same Thing

Does your life consist of the same thing everyday? If your routine is interrupted will it throw you off? Are you afraid of change?

Our lives shouldn’t be so routine that we cannot be spontaneous when the moment calls for it. We have even taken this old routine to the church. We don’t want the choir to sing more than one song, we don’t want the pastor to flow in the spirit and we definitely haven’t put in our schedule for someone to be delivered.

Everyday we wake up we should expect something new, something different, something great. After all, this the day that the Lord has made and we know he don’t do things the same old way.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Quality Time

Many women complain that their significant others don’t spend the quality time with them like they use to.

Do we ever think that we are God’s significant other; and he desires quality time with us? However, he doesn’t complain, he doesn’t nag us, he just asks us then he waits. That makes us just as guilty as our significant others.

Let’s start giving God quality time everyday and then it will become second nature to us.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Sunshine

When you feel like the sun isn’t shining in your life, you have to make your own sunshine.

Life is too short to be waiting on someone else to encourage you, to pat you on the back, to say way to go.

When you let your own sun shine everyone will be trying to get in your sun-rays and those very ones that didn’t want to applaud you, encourage you and pat you on the back; will get sunburned.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Today I’m Coming Home

I’ve been away on another business trip and I called my kids this morning to say, today I’m coming home. I forewarned them because I wanted my house in tip top shape when I arrived.

I arrived home before they did only to find lights left on, dirty clothes everywhere, trash not emptied, etc… My first instinct was to go check them out of school and make them clean my house, then suddenly I was reminded; God is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkles.

We all got some spots and some wrinkles that we need to get washed out and ironed out. Just as I forewarned my kids, Jesus has forewarned us.

Have you heard the news? Jesus is coming soon. Get your house in order.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Lord Help

Have you ever been in a situation and the only prayer you had was Lord help? You didn’t have time for no fancy prayer and you definitely wasn’t thinking about calling your best friend. Your only thought was, let me get some real powerful help, and Lord help was the answer.

Sometimes that’s all you need. God doesn’t need fancy prayers and long drawn out prayers to come to the rescue; he just wants you to call him. And, when you call him, call him believing he’ll answer. Call him, believing he’s coming to the rescue. Call him, believing he’s already worked it out. Call him, believing that every devil in hell, in the church, in your family and on your job is fleeing.

LORD HELP!!!

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

When You Try To Help

Never assume because someone asks for your help, that they are going to like the help that you give them. And, when they express how much they don’t like your help, don’t get upset.

Take solace in the fact that you lent a helping hand and that you did the best you could do. Next time they won’t call on you, they will figure it out for themselves.

Make sure you don’t fall out of pocket either because they were not pleased with your work. Don’t let your friendships and your relationships deteriorate, because the job wasn’t to their liking. Talk about the situation, ask for forgiveness and move forward.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

I Know More

Do you act like you know more than your boss? Do you feel the office won’t run without you? Does this make you discount everything your boss says and does?

When you have this type of attitude it doesn’t just stay at the job it spills over into your personal and spiritual life. You begin to act like you know more than everyone in your house, your inner circle and your pastor. Has it ever dawned on you that you’re not in charge for a reason ?

If you never learn how to follow, how
can God ever make you a leader. Besides, those of you claiming to be Christians are losing your witness; especially, on the job. The bible says we are to obey those that have the rule over us. The bible also says to pray for those in authority. When you’re at work your boss has the rule and authority over you. If you don’t believe it, get out of hand and see if the boss don’t fire you.

If you really know so much, quit your job, leave your church and get a new inner circle. Start your own business, start your own church and get an inner circle that will always agree with you.

At the end of the day, you are the one that has to answer to God and I know you don’t know more than him.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Take Half

Can any of us afford to take half of our pay checks and put it into savings and live off the other half? Some of us can and some of us can’t.

Whatever happened to storing up for a rainy day? Lately, for some people it seems like every day is a rainy day. You may can’t start with half of your paycheck, but start with a percentage of your check and put it into savings.

It may be hard but be determined you are going to do it. So when that real rainy day comes, you don’t have to ask anybody for help, you’ve already got it. You’ve been saving up your help.

How else do we expect to be the lender and not the borrower; the head and not the tail. We shouldn’t always have to wait to tax season to have money.

Don’t eat out one day a week and save that money. Don’t go shopping one weekend and save that money. You have to start somewhere.

After while, you will be able to take half.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Diffusing A Situation

The bible says; a soft answer turns away wrath.

When someone has gotten on your last nerves, or continues to be angry or berate you; don’t lash out at them. Try to see what their thought process is. This isn’t always easy but remember you were not always easy to deal with either.

With so many people being depressed in the world and literally worrying about how they are going to eat, get medicine and pay all the bills; people are on edge. And yes, bible believing, Jesus loving Christians are on edge to. No one is exempt.

So let’s try not to add to the situation, let’s try to help it, by either giving a soft answer or shutting our mouths all together.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Leftovers

Many people say they don’t like leftovers or that they won’t eat leftovers. I say, look at leftovers with a different outlook. Leftovers are not just about food.

The bible says God will do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think. The bibles also says; God will open up a window and pour you out a blessing that you won’t have room enough to receive it. That means you’re going to have leftovers.

When you have an abundance you have leftovers. When you have just enough, you’re barely getting by. When you have not enough, you’re trying to make it stretch.

I love leftovers! I love abundance! I love not having room enough to receive!

Change your mind about leftovers.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
