Trust & Believe

Before we can believe a word that’s in the bible, we have to trust that God is who he says he is. We get the evidence that God is who he says he is, by our experiences and the testimonies of others.

Growing up, I knew there had to be a God because people would get shot up and live. We would say they had nine lives. We would be at the basketball court and all of a sudden a shootout would happen. Everybody hit the pavement, when it was over; everyone would get up and check themselves to make sure they didn’t get shot. I didn’t know it back then, but God was building his trust with me way before I even opened a bible.

When we look back over our lives and we think things over, we can trust and believe that God is a man that cannot lie nor a man that can repent. He could have taken us out of this world a long time ago but he told death to step back and behave. Who wouldn’t trust a God like that!

Trust and believe if God said it, he will do it.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Give Up On God

So God hasn’t answered your prayers yet; that doesn’t mean he’s not going to answer them. It means he’s taking his time. I know it seems like God is in no rush, you are so right with your assumptions.

Before you throw in the towel, wait to see what his answer is going to be. What you have to understand is; God has already put an expiration date on your problems and he will not allow your problems to expire not one second, minute or hour before time.

While you’re waiting on God to answer; pray, fast and study your word. God is preparing you but while he is preparing you; he is also providing for you. So, the wait is not as bad as you think.

Now is not the time to give up on God. Now is the time to grab hold of God like never before.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Enemies

Instead of always talking about how much you dislike your enemies, take them to lunch. Yes, those people you know don’t like you, spread rumors about you and hoping to see you fail; take them to lunch.

The bible says, if your enemies are hungry give them something to eat, if they are thirsty give them something to drink; you will reap coals of fire on their head.

For the rest of the week let lunch be on you. Break bread with your enemy , talk to them and see if you can resolve the issue. If not, you’ve still followed the word of God.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Lazy

Are you lazy or do you have lazy people around you? Do you blame everyone else for you not having anything?

Being lazy will make you miss out on things and it’s nobody’s fault but your own. A lazy person doesn’t rise to the top, a lazy person doesn’t work with the spirit of excellence, a lazy person is always looking for a handout.

Some people pray to God for a job but won’t fill out the application; they’re lazy. Some people want to eat but won’t fix themselves no food; they’re lazy. Some people want you to pray for them but they won’t pray for themselves; either they’re lazy or don’t know how. Some people say, they would go to church but no one has invited them; they’re lazy.

If you have a goal in mind and you are trying to reach that goal, make sure, you stay clear of lazy people.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Think For Yourself

How much advice do you really take from other people? Do you ever rely on your on thoughts?

God has given each of us a brain and we are more than capable of thinking for ourselves. However, we always turn to that friend that says; if I were you.

It’s time we tell our friends that they are not us and that we are more than capable of making a decision on our own.

It’s time that we get back to using the brain that God has given us, and let our friends keep their advice to themselves.

Exercise

Many of us exercise to stay fit and not gain weight. We run, walk, bike, swim, lift weights etc…
We set our alarms, we get workout partners and we stay committed to our routine.

I wonder, do we exercise our faith the same way. Do we read, study and meditate on the word daily? Do we have prayer partners to keep us on track? Do we incorporate fasting? How much weight has our faith lost?

Our faith, as well as our bodies need exercise. It does us no good to be physically fit and not be spiritually fit. The good thing about becoming spiritually fit, is you can start anytime, anywhere and anyplace.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Navigating

Have you ever tried to use your GPS and it wouldn’t pick up a signal? Or perhaps, maybe you were driving faster than the directions popped up on the screen. Did it frustrate you or make you want to scream? Did you say, this stupid phone; I need a new phone service?

Have you ever asked Jesus to be your GPS? While living in this foreign country, the only GPS I can rely on is Jesus. I can’t read the language, I only know a few words, and when I say those words, the natives think I speak their language fluently. I’ve tried to rely on my phones GPS only to be even more lost.

I’ve discovered, if Jesus isn’t leading the way, I’m lost. It doesn’t matter how good I look, how eloquent I speak, how popular I am, if Jesus is not a part of the systems navigation everything is in vain.

Let Jesus lead and guide you today. No matter how dark your road may be, I guarantee, he will lead you to the light and clear up your vision.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Fasting Time

Has God called you to a fast but you don’t want to starve yourself? Are you thinking about that company function or that party you want to attend, and fasting will get in the way of that?

Do you know that when we don’t fast we eat ourselves right out of our blessings. How many blessings have we devoured in the form of chicken, potato salad, mac&cheese, etc…

When you fast you’re saying God I want more of thee and less of me. You are saying I value our relationship more than I value food. Don’t stop your blessing because your are hungry.

Jentezen Franklin wrote a book on fasting and he brought out the point how Adam and Eve literally ate themselves out of house, home and the presence of God.

So, ask yourself, is that piece of chicken worth losing it all? If not, then, fast and pray. If so, don’t stop at one piece eat until you’re full.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

What Now

Do you ever feel like God keeps telling you to do things that you’re really not comfortable with? Or, after you complete one task he asks you to do another one right away? Have you ever told God what now or at least felt that way?

God won’t put more on you than you can bear. If you are having the feelings of what now; it’s because, God knows what he placed inside of you and he’s trying to bring it out of you. The problem is, you despise the what now and you give up before the gift, the potential, and the talent are manifested.

Instead of saying what now; say, yes Lord here I am you can use me.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Settle

How many of us are satisfied with where we’re at in life? How many of us are ok with just getting by?

Who told us that it was alright to settle? When did we get comfortable with settling?

We got the job but let’s not settle being the lowest on the food chain.

We are save but let’s not settle for not being used by God.

When we settle, we are telling ourselves that we don’t want anymore out of life; and that we don’t expect anymore out of life.

The bible tells us to be content; it doesn’t tell us to settle.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
