One Accord

If we would learn to get on one accord we can get so much accomplished. We all have special gifts and when used together, they are more powerful.

I was running today and a lady passed me up. I didn’t get angry, I used her speed to help me out. I began to look at her feet, and I started lining my running pattern up with hers. Soon, when her left foot struck the ground, my left foot struck the ground. We were running on one accord; although, she was ahead of me. As long as we were on the same footing, I could see her even though we had a big gap in between us.

It doesn’t matter if someone is outpacing you on this journey; get on one accord with them and complete a work together.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

When You’re Back On Your Own

Soon, I will be back taking care of everything on my own again. My auntie has been helping me out for the past six months since I travel so much. When the school calls, I have to go now, when one of the kids get sick, I will be tending to them again.

It’s rare that you can get a family member to put their lives on hold for you for six months and I have cherished everyday. It felt good to know when I took to the friendly skies my aunt had everything under control. Now her time has come to an end and my daughter has to step up to the plate.

I’ve groomed her for this moment. I continue to tell her she can do it. I know she can’t cook; so, when I leave again, there will be plenty of microwave food.

Just as I have prepared my daughter to look after things, God has prepared us for things. When you look back over your life and you remember the things you’ve been through, and you see the things you’re facing now; you can see that God was preparing you back then for things that are happening now.

The problem is, we don’t like the process that God takes us through; so we don’t look at our situations like God is preparing us for something.

So rather you’re on your own, about to be on your own, or you have someone you can really rely on; don’t despise the process that God is taking you through.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Know What’s Important

Everyone has something or someone that is important to them. Sometimes we mistreat or misuse those important people or things; or, we just neglect them.

I travel all over the world and every time I travel, I leave behind my kids and my grandson. These are the most important people in my life. I do my best to spend as much time with them as possible but let’s face it, they have lives of their own. Besides, they are so use to me leaving that when I’m home for a long period of time they want to to know if I still have a job.

My relationship with Jesus is also important to me. I carry our relationship wherever I go in the world. I don’t leave Jesus at home and tell him I’ll see you when I get back or I’ll FaceTime you like I do my kids. No! I let my light shine and I ask God to allow me to be a blessing to others.

Christians have it so backwards. We think we are suppose to only let our light shine in church, and only help out those that go to church or those people we know. In fact, we should look for someone that we don’t know on purpose and bless them.

Blessing someone is not always monetary; it can be spending time, saying a comforting word, watching someone’s kids who’s a stay at home parent just so they can gain their sanity back. That’s what’s important.

At least, that’s what’s important to me. Find out what’s important to you and do it.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

You Got The Power

Yesterday I was in the store with my son and he was putting all of this stuff in the basket. Finally, he wanted some shoes that were expensive and I said no, they cost too much. Quickly, he responded, mom you got the power.
I began to laugh and said oh I got the power; he said, yes you do. He began to say mom you started from the bottom now where here.

He said you can no longer use the excuse that we don’t have the money because you do and he said it again, you got the power. I got everything he put in the basket but those shoes, because no matter how much power I have I’m going to use it wisely.

The fact that my son equated how much money we have with power made me think. Those of us that are saved, have Jesus Christ living on the inside of us, we really do got the power. But how do we use that power? Do we realize how much power we possess? Are we waiting on someone else to tell us we have the power?

The bible says life and death are in the power of the tongue. Power is useless if we never use it, and it’s dangerous if we use it recklessly.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

I Knew You Would Do It

Have you ever did something for someone knowing what they would do with it, but you did it anyway?

Jesus died knowing we would lie, curse, cheat, steal, etc…But he didn’t say I shouldn’t do this for you because you won’t appreciate it. In fact, he said it’s not his will that none should perish.

We on the other hand, think about how much someone won’t appreciate what we are doing for them, and decide not to do it.

What if God said I’m not sending my son to die for y’all. To hell with you ungrateful people? Where would we be? We think the world is in turmoil now, just think of what it would be if Jesus didn’t die for us.

So instead of letting the enemy see us be so ungrateful, let him see us make a fool out of him. Make Jesus tell satan I knew my child would do it.

Jesus should be able to say, I knew my child would serve me in spite of.
I knew my child would praise me without money.
I knew my child didn’t need their names up in lights to worship me.
I knew that despite of everything my child is going through, they would keep the faith.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessed a blessing.

Surprise

How many of us like to be surprised? Surprises can be good or bad; but nonetheless they catch us off guard.

Sometimes, people ask us; what do you want for your birthday, and we reply I don’t know, surprise me. Well we are surprised when we get a jacked-up present or no present at all. And, sometimes they surprise us, because they go all out on the present they give us.

I’ve learned to pray, Lord please prepare my heart and my mind for what’s going to happen today and let nothing take me by surprise.

The biggest surprise of our lives will be, if we went to church every time the doors were opened but never repented and in hell we lift up our eyes. Surprise!

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Solid Ground

Whenever we walk we just assume that we are walking on solid ground. We don’t know what’s going on underneath the ground, we just know that the top of the ground is solid.

In the Christian world, we just assume, that when we talk to other Christians or people in church that we are talking to people who are on solid ground. We assume, that these people have it going on in Christ. Because of this thought process, we begin to covet everything we see about them. Never once, did we check underneath their soil to figure out if they are imploding underneath, contaminated underneath, or if their foundation is shaky or sound.

We should never assume that we are always on solid ground or the people around us. We have to do a daily inventory of our lives and check our foundation on a regular basis. Being on solid ground doesn’t come over night; it takes time to construct, pave and settle. In other words, let God shape you, make you and mold you ; so that when he is finished you will be on solid ground.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

He’s Done Enough

Why do we act like God better bend over backwards to please us or make us happy? Why do we act like, if God don’t get us out of our present situation then we won’t praise him?

Hasn’t he done enough? Wasn’t his suffering on the cross enough for us? We are so quick to tell other people what we have done for them and get mad when they don’t appreciate it. I wonder, how furious does God get with us when we don’t appreciate what he’s done for us.

The last time I checked, my family or my friends didn’t die for my sins. The last time I checked, my family or my friends didn’t get beat down for my sins? The last time I checked, my family or my friends didn’t guide the heart surgeon’s hand to make sure he did everything right.

You see, God has done more than enough and when you look back over your life and think things over, you know it wasn’t your family or friends; it wasn’t by power or might but by his spirit.

Stop complaining, stop being ungrateful, stop treating God like an ordinary man; and begin to thank him for all he’s done.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

You’re Too Late

I went to get my eyebrows arched but when I got to the store 15 minutes before closing time, the lady said you’re too late. I thought to myself, wow, I’m too late for you to take my money.

When our time is done down here on earth and God calls our number; it will be too late to repent, too late to give our life to God, too late to build a relationship with him; it will just be too late.

God is no going to be concerned with where you are in life. When your name is called up yonder, you will have no choice but to answer.

So, before it’s too late; repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Get Done

When you cook meat, do you take it our of the frying pan or oven before it’s done? Do you like half cooked meat? Half cooked meat can make you and it can literally kill you.

We need to liken ourself to meat. When God has us in the fire, he’s not going to allow us to come out until we are done. God knows, if we come out of the fire half done, we can become sick and we can die spiritually, literally or both.

Stop trying to get out of the fire before time. God has an appointed time when you will get done. He has a timer on your problems and situations. So stay in the fire, until God says; well done thou good and faithful servant.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
