You Can’t Go Around

Contrary to popular belief God does not have an open door policy. You have to go through Jesus to get to God. The bible says you must come through the door and Jesus is the door, and if you try to come any other way; you are a robber and a thief.

How would you like it if you were the boss and everyone tried to go around you to get something without coming through you? Chances are you would be mad and you probably would fire them.

Jesus is our advocate and he makes intercession for us.

So, stop trying to go around him and stop telling people you can go to God for yourself because you are lying.

Bottom line, you can’t go around!

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

The Rod Of Correction

Do you still love God when he corrects you? Is your love unconditional for God like his love is for you?

The rod of correction doesn’t feel good but it is for our good, because without correction we wouldn’t respect God.

God corrects those whom he love. Just as parents don’t allow their children to misbehave and get away with it, God won’t allow us to get away with our misbehaving either.

Somehow we feel as though we have gotten away with sin when correction doesn’t come right away and once correction finally comes we have the woe is me syndrome.

Let’s learn how to take our correction and swallow our pride and know that God truly loves us.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Think Before You Speak

Do you say anything to anybody because you can? Do you care about the damage you do with your tongue? Do you ever think before you speak?

We need to think about what we are going to say instead of just blurting stuff out. We should think; is what I’m about to say going to edify or bring down? If it’s going to edify then say it, but of it’s going to bring down and criticize, ostracize, belittle or cause someone to stumble then we should be quiet.

Thinking before we speak will stop a lot of unnecessary apologies and stop letting people see just how foolish we are.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Agree To Disagree

Why are we falling out with people in the church, family members, our spouses or significant others, co-workers and children all because we don’t agree with one another?

In life we are not going to always agree with one another but we can still respect each other’s opinions. Besides, do you really want people to agree with you all the time? That means you don’t want to be challenged and the only way we grow or get better is to be challenged.

It’s time to let grudges go so that we can grow and be better. Remember everyone is entitled to believe what they want to believe and they are entitled to believe that they are right; we always believe that we are right, therefore, we are no different.

So today, let’s agree to disagree and still remain in fellowship with one another.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Keep Your Cool

Do you fly off the handle real easy and think it’s always somebody else and not you? Are you easily angered?

What makes you not want to keep your cool? Why do you allow someone else to get you out of character?

After while, if people have not already isolated themselves from you they will start to. No one wants to be around someone who is mad all the time, it takes too much energy. Besides, the bible says those who can’t control their temper have no rule over their soul.

Learn how to keep your cool before you get sick, find yourself out of the will of God and find yourself by yourself.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Count Your Blessings

Instead of always complaining count your blessings. When you start counting your blessings, you will find that you really don’t have anything to complain about.

Start with the blessings you take for granted; like your life, health, being in your right mind and strength. Then start getting very specific.

Counting your blessings makes you take notice that our God is an awesome God.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Be Reckless With Your Heart

Your heart is your seat of conscious and the bible tells us to keep our heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

When we don’t guard our hearts our behavior becomes reckless. We become cold, callous and calculated. We allow things and people into our heart that God never intended and all these issues come about.

Many of us may say I’m not reckless with my heart; well when we allow things and people to stress us out, we are being reckless with our heart.

When we can mistreat people and not think twice about it; we are being reckless with our heart.

When we allow the enemy to take up residence in our heart; out of it flows hatred, malice, deceit, lies, fornication, whoremongering, division and everything else contrary to God. And this is being reckless with our heart.

Today, let us stop being reckless with our heart and ask God to create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit in us.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

You Can Talk To God For Free

While we are so busy making appointments to see doctors, lawyers, psychiatrists and psychologists have we ever stopped to think that we can talk to God for free?

Even when we do get the appointment and these specialist tells us what to do, do we do it? The majority of the time no! We spend hundreds and thousands of dollars to get advice and then don’t put the advice into action. We’ve just waisted money.

Think about this; you don’t have to wait in line to get to God. His schedule is always free for you. He has a 24/7 hotline that he answers it’s not a recording. He doesn’t kick you out of his office because you can’t pay or don’t have insurance. Not only will he talk to you, he will diagnose your problem, give you a free prescription and heal you. He won’t pump you full of unnecessary drugs to get a kick-back from the pharmaceutical companies. He won’t charge you by the hour or make up some bogus fees. He will show up and speak on your behalf.

He does a lot more but you get what I’m saying. His services are free, we just have to tap into them and use them.

So before you make your next appointment, see what God has to say first.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Be Still

How many times have you heard The Lord say be still? While trying to be still your mind begins to wonder and the enemy begins to play tricks with your mind.

It’s true God does answer in his time and it always seems as though he takes a long time when it comes to you; however, when it comes to someone else it seems as if God shows right up.

We have to practice being still because we are always use to doing things or trying to fix problems.

Being still doesn’t mean sitting down, it means taking your hands off the situation and letting God handle it.

Being still means you won’t make a move until God answers you no matter how long he takes.

Being still means sometimes you are going to have to hold your peace and let God speak for you.

Being still is easier said than done but if you want to see the salvation of God, and if you want him to prepare a table in the presence of your enemies, I suggest you make every effort to be still.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Christians Can Be So Cruel

Why do we pray for people to be delivered only to talk about them as soon as we get through praying for them?

Once they are delivered why do we keep shoving it in their face that we prayed for them?

Do we really think we are drawing them to Christ? The bible says with love and kindness have I drawn thee. Unfortunately, with malice, pride and hatred have we pushed them away.

Do we understand that we will have to pay a price for being a stumbling block?

As Christians lets stop being so cruel to people and let’s start loving people like our Heavenly Father. You may be the only bible that people read.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
