Jesus commanded that we go out and make disciples; however, he didn’t specify to just go after people that look like us.
Why is it that we only want to witness to people of our same race or people that are already in the church?
We come into contact with many different people of many different races, nationalities, backgrounds and social economic status; yet we feel like discipleship is not for them.
What if someone decided that because of your race, background or social economic status that you didn’t need to be witnessed to. How would you have heard the gospel and been converted?
The bible says whosoever will let them come. That means everybody.
For now on, let’s stop passing up the opportunity to witness to people that don’t look like us, dress like us, talk like us, make as much money as we do and start winning souls for the kingdom.
In winning souls for the kingdom it will require you to come out of your comfort zone. I know a lady that had a job interview and as the person was interviewing her she stopped the interview and said “ma’am this is the most unprofessional thing I have ever done but The Lord told me to tell you to stop running and what are you worried about”. She went on to tell the lady I know you might not hire me but I had to do what I had to do. She got hired on the spot.
We never know what a person needs or how God plans on answering their prayers. If we are afraid to witness or fail to witness outside of our comfort zone then we will never find out.
Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
