Don’t Dialogue With The Enemy

How is it you have a hard time believing God but you will constantly talk to the enemy?

Do you talk to the enemy because you are convinced that God cannot deliver you? Or do you talk to the enemy because it takes God a while to answer you?

The more you have a dialogue with the enemy the less you trust God. You already know that the enemy comes to still, kill and destroy. So, why keep willingly giving him your stuff, your home, your children and your life.

Break off the relationship with the enemy and start pouring your heart out to God.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Pay Attention

How many of us get so comfortable with everyday life that we stop paying attention.

I’m away on a business trip and as I was walking back to my car I hit the unlock button on the key chain and the car door unlocked. When I got in the car it was not my car. My car was parked right next to it.

I quickly got out of the wrong car and began to thank God because someone could have thought I was trying to steal their car. God quickly spoke, pay attention. Nothing is that important that you can’t watch what you’re doing or where you’re going. See I was trying to dial my co-workers number to see where we were meeting up for dinner.

Let’s all do a better job of paying attention and be safe.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Go For It

How many of you are not going after your dreams? Have you just settled because you are comfortable? When did your dream die?

You need to start living and go after your dream. I know you’re saying my dream cost money or I’m too old. I hear you, but first you’re never too old and second you have not cause you ask not.

Include God in your dreams and watch what happens. I know for many of us life has taken a turn in an opposite direction of where we were headed but that’s not a reason to give up.

So today, get up, get out and get moving working on and living the dream of your life.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Tired

Have you ever been so tired but you continued to push yourself saying I’m good? Did you dismiss the warning signs your body was giving you just to stay awake and finish the job, the paper or finish studying?

When we are so tired to the point we can’t function that’s not good. We are of no use to ourselves or anyone else. We become like the disciples and are not able to pray for one hour. We can become so tired that we can’t even hear the voice of God.

Lately I have been so tired but I kept pushing myself; well today it all came to a crashing halt. I left work early and got straight in the bed, seven hours later I awoke only to find myself exhausted.

If someone needed me to pray for them today, they would have been out of luck and would have learned how to pray for themselves. If they needed me to minister to them today, they would have been in trouble and learned how to get a word from The Lord for themselves. Today I was to the point that I was of no use to myself or others.

We cannot afford to keep pushing and running ourselves daily without resting. We have to find a balance and no matter what it takes, take time out for ourselves to rest and relax.

That means we have to learn how to tell people NO. No, I can’t help you right now. No, I can’t make your function. No, I can’t even make it to church every time the doors of the church are open.

This may be hard for some but if your body breaks down who will take care of you?

So make it a point to get some rest so that you won’t become a weary soldier.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

The Truth

We are always harping on people not telling truth and quick to call them a liar. We really need to ask ourselves do we really want to know the truth? Can we handle the truth?

Truth is, we shouldn’t ask people questions that we really don’t want a truthful answer to and when we receive the answer don’t get mad.

The only truth we should be seeking is God. He said, “I am the way, the truth and the life”. Even when God tells us the truth, we shouldn’t get mad, we should get better.

Getting better means start doing what he told us to do and not with an attitude but with gratitude.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Gold Digger

Does God consider you a gold digger or does he consider you a servant? Gold diggers only want people for their fortune and when they feel like that person can no longer do anything for them then they walk away. A servant however, will serve whether someone is rich, poor, famous, or a nobody.

Do you try to pimp God and when you get what you want then you’re gone? Do you only consider God to be a house payment, car payment and shopping money? Do you realize he is more than that?

God is a restorer, deliverer, lifter of your head, redeemer, heart fixer, bridge over troubled water and then some. There is not enough time to say everything he is.

Who wouldn’t serve a God like that! When you serve God, you won’t be known as the gold digger in the neighborhood. When you serve God, you will have much more respect for yourself and you won’t be looking for someone to take care of you. When you serve God, no good thing will he withhold from you.

So ask yourself, are you a gold digger or a servant?

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Discouraged

Are you discouraged because life isn’t going the way you planned? Have you realized that you are still living although your life has taken a different turn?

Instead of being discouraged, encourage yourself.

Tell yourself in-spite of what has happened we are going to make it. Tell yourself we may be down but we’re not out. Tell yourself this is only a test of our faith.

Tell discouragement it can no longer take up residence in your life and that you will use it as a testimony. Tell discouragement it taught you how to be a better you and come out stronger than ever.

Take the dis and ment out of discouragement and you have COURAGE.

You have the courage to make it and stand tall.
You have the courage to laugh in the face of adversity.
You have the courage to walk in victory.

With all of that courage you are a winner.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Are You On The Right Side?

I’m use to driving on the left side of the road and now that I’m visiting the US I have to remember to drive on the right side of the road. It gets scary sometimes when there are no other cars on the road to help keep me straight. When I’m out there by myself, sometimes I get it right, sometimes I get it wrong, but thank God for no accidents.

When it comes to our spiritual welfare what side are we on? When we do our spiritual check-up are we on the right side of God’s word or the wrong side of God’s word?

If we know God’s word and don’t do God’s word then we are on the wrong side, and if we end up in hell it won’t be no accident.

Look left, look right, look up, look down and figure out what side you need to be on.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Witnessing

Jesus commanded that we go out and make disciples; however, he didn’t specify to just go after people that look like us.

Why is it that we only want to witness to people of our same race or people that are already in the church?

We come into contact with many different people of many different races, nationalities, backgrounds and social economic status; yet we feel like discipleship is not for them.

What if someone decided that because of your race, background or social economic status that you didn’t need to be witnessed to. How would you have heard the gospel and been converted?

The bible says whosoever will let them come. That means everybody.

For now on, let’s stop passing up the opportunity to witness to people that don’t look like us, dress like us, talk like us, make as much money as we do and start winning souls for the kingdom.

In winning souls for the kingdom it will require you to come out of your comfort zone. I know a lady that had a job interview and as the person was interviewing her she stopped the interview and said “ma’am this is the most unprofessional thing I have ever done but The Lord told me to tell you to stop running and what are you worried about”. She went on to tell the lady I know you might not hire me but I had to do what I had to do. She got hired on the spot.

We never know what a person needs or how God plans on answering their prayers. If we are afraid to witness or fail to witness outside of our comfort zone then we will never find out.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Going On A Trip

Whenever we are going on a trip we sometimes tend to pack the night before. We begin to think about all the fun that we are going to and how much money we set aside to spend.

Do we ever think that we are going to have to minister on the trip? That someone may not be having as much fun as we are having; and we may hit some bumps while we are on our trip.

This Christian journey is much like our trip except we can’t plan for what God has in store. All we can do is prepare ourselves as best as possible. How do we prepare ourselves you ask? We prepare by praying, fasting and reading the word of God.

The trip that God has planned for us will have many ups and downs, turns and stops, blessings and trials. But one thing is for sure God has already made provisions for us and he will be there every step of the way.

So don’t get frustrated when your trip doesn’t go as you planned it, just know it’s going the way God planned it.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
