Many of us have played spades before, and some of us are down right excellent spade players. But there are some of us that really don’t like the game because it seems like we never get dealt a good hand. Spades is usually played with partners so you have to work together. You have to make sure you are not cutting each other or under bidding.
In life it may seem like someone else has all the spades and they are beating us in life. Better jobs, cars, families, and more money. So we begin to look at them and wish we had their hand. We wish they would renig on the hand they’ve been dealt so that we could have what they got.
Well that’s called coveting. We have to know what God has for me is for me; and what God has for you is for you. So what someone has a better hand, play the hand you were dealt because eventually they will play all of there spades then your little meager cards will trump theirs. Besides, you have a partner in the game that means you have help. The bible even says one can chase a thousand and two can put ten thousand to flight. So stop trying to be the Lone Ranger and tell someone I need you to survive.
Also know someone is holding the joker in spades. They will have the little joker or the big joker or sometimes they will have both, and because they have the joker doesn’t mean they know how to use them properly. Although, the joker is supreme in spades, if you misuse it you hurt yourself in the game.
It’s just like people who have the word inside of them, in front of them and on every radio station; they can have a little word or a lot of word but if they don’t know how to use the word then what good is it. God is all supreme in our lives and if we keep misusing him we will only hurt ourselves in the end because he said his spirit won’t contend with man always.
So, stop looking at the hand that other people were dealt and play the hand you’ve been dealt. You never know, you might just find out how resourceful you are, you might just find out that you can make something out of nothing when you put the word of God on it and in it.
Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
