Expect The Great

This is the year of release and I’m expecting God to do some great things in my life.

On June 1 I’m starting a 30day Daniel Fast.

I’m asking all of you to fast with me and then comment on this blog as to the great things that God has done and is yet doing naturally and spiritually.

This Fast takes obedience if we are going to expect the great.

Let’s get everything God has for us in this season.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Defeat vs. Victory

Defeat says you’re a loser, victory says you’re more than a conqueror.

Defeat says your enemies have prevailed, victory says Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.

Defeat says close your mouth and accept the fact that you lost, victory says shout with a voice of triumph.

Defeat says you’ve done too much wrong and God won’t forgive you, victory says I’m married to the backslider.

You have to make it up in your mind, that you’ve seen too many victories to let defeat have the last say.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Stop Talking Yourself Out Of Your Blessing

Do you keep telling God how much you don’t deserve to be blessed by him? Do you keep telling him how unworthy you are?

When you do this you clearly show how much you don’t understand the magnitude of God’s love for you.

He knows his children act up but he also knows that holding it over their head won’t make them any better; so he loves them unconditionally and he blesses whomever he chooses.

So stop talking yourself out of your blessing and thank God he looks beyond your faults and see your needs.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Say What You Need To Say

Stop beating around the bush with people and stop sugar coating what it is you need to say.

In today’s society people want you to be real with them. The truth may hurt but it’s out in the open.

Remember you are not Jesus so you don’t have to speak in parables. Let your yea be yea and your nay be nay.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Friends

To have a friend you have to show yourself friendly. But how many of us really know how to be a friend?

Do we talk about our friends behind their backs or do we shun them when they make us mad?

Real friends will stick by your side no matter what. It doesn’t mean they always agree with you but it does mean they love you through it all.

Go out and be a real friend today.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Push Me

How many of us have ever said, don’t push me because I’m close to the edge? We even told God if one more thing happens I’m going to lose it! And God allowed that one more thing to happen and yet we didn’t lose it.

We don’t want to be pushed but we need to be pushed. If we didn’t get pushed we wouldn’t be where we are today. Every circumstance and situation is meant to push us closer to God and closer to our destiny but we don’t see it that way.

What we see, is life beating us up and we can’t get a break no matter how hard we try. That’s called a pity party. So instead of saying don’t push me, we need to be saying Lord shape me, make me and mold me to be what you called me to be. If that means you got to push me, pull me or drag me do what you gotta do Lord.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Hold Your Peace

Have you noticed when you start praising God people want you to hold your peace. Not just in church, but when you’re at work and you’re telling of the goodness of Jesus.

No matter what the people are saying or how they feel, don’t hold your peace. Jesus said if we don’t praise him then the rocks will cry out.

I don’t know about you but I don’t want no rocks crying out for me. Jesus said let everything that has breath praise The Lord.

So there you have it, don’t hold your peace, every chance you get tell of the goodness of The Lord. Tell people how you didn’t deserve it but God. Tell people how you could be crazy but God. Tell people if it had not been for The Lord on your side.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Attitudes Before The Blessing

Today my daughter was blessed with her car but she almost didn’t get it because of her attitude.

Earlier in the week I told her I needed her today and to make sure she was available for me. I also needed her to babysit my grandson and she acted so ugly that I didn’t let her babysit and I was ready to pull the deal on the car.

That’s when God reminded me that I haven’t always been at my best before he blessed me and yet he decided to bless me anyway. So I let go of my frustration with my daughter and gave her the car, her graduation present.

How many of us have had an attitude prior to God blessing us? How many of us have acted so ungrateful and God chose to look beyond our faults and see our needs?

Let’s be careful of our attitudes for our blessing could be right around the corner and this time God could decide to hold off on blessing us. It’s his choice.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Just A Closer Walk With Jesus

We could all use a closer walk with Jesus. No matter how much we pray, fast, read the word, quote scripture and go to church we need a closer walk with The Lord.

The truth of the matter is, many of us do this out of habit and religion but not out of a pure heart. When we’ve been doing something so long it becomes second nature and we become jaded.

We’ve been reading the word so long it really doesn’t mean anything to us anymore. We’ve been saying Jesus so much that we disregard the power his name carries. We’ve fasted so much that it isn’t even a sacrifice for us anymore. We’re in church every time the doors are open not because we really want to be there it just became a habit for us.

A closer walk with God will refresh, renew and revive us. A closer walk will make us read the word with expectancy, say Jesus name and move out the way due to the power that comes with that name. A closer walk will make us have a sacrifice of praise, we will enter into his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise.

Just a closer walk with the Master, Savior, Lord, King of glory! I have just preached myself happy!

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Haters

Why don’t we like our haters? If we never had haters would we have a relationship with God?

Truth is, we need our haters because they help push us into our destiny. Our haters make us pray and they make us find out what really is inside of us.

Instead of disliking our haters, let’s praise God for our haters. If we have the opportunity to thank our haters we should do so, because what the enemy meant for bad God turned it around for our good.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
